Maxim-Robert`s birthstory

Well..all day the 30th I was in a cleaning frenzie!!! I organized and tidied all day till supper and then started to feel contractions! I started timing but they weren`t getting worse really and were very irregular. SOO I gave up by midnight and went to bed. 2 hours later I woke up and knew it was going to happen that day for sure! I tried to relax and watch Golden Girls hahha but by 3AM I decided I better just get ready and focus! Sooo an hour and half later the pain was getting intense enough that I started to wonder what was going on in there and the contractions were every 2 min. I woke up my hubby finally and we were at the hospital by 5AM. They got me into a room and said I was 3-4 cm. I was in enough pain that I didn`t want to breathe when a contraction hit but of course that isn`t good...so I was hunched over the sink in the bathrrom and tried to tough it out. I asked about having something for the pain and they let me try the gas..ITS CRAP hahhaha I didn`t like it and only took one practise breath and said no more. SOOO they checked again and my AWESOME nurse said she better call the doc and get him to break the waters so he got there by 6:30 and broke the water. He said my dilation decresed!! But went to 6-7 and that was more than I thought I was anyway! So after that it all went fast and by 7:30 I was screaming he would come soon and I needed to push so when he check I was fully dilated and in 5 min and a few pushes my BEAUTIFUL amazing lil boy was born!!!! When his head came out I screamed out it was MAxim..it`s Maxim and thats when his name was decided! We hadn`t picked it out yet and Maxim was DH choice but now I couldn`t imagine anything else--pronounced Maxsim- I was SOOOOO excited and happy and was yelling thank you god thank you god hahahha. Then I told everyone I loved them...not sure if it was that one puff of gas or what or the thought that I `d never ever have to feel all that again. WHEW..now he`ll be a week old already tomorrow and I`m sooo inlove with him. He was only 6lbs 10oz whereas his sis was 8 2..so it`s been a BIT easier on my bottom this time around. I really feel pretty good already and have had my sitz baths everyday etc. I even took my one year old out for a mommy daughter day yesterday and had a great time. I have my mom coming over every morning to help which has been AMAZING ..she is the best. Hubby back at work with a very demanding job so having her is sooo nice.
Maxims big sister is trying hard to adjust but it`s not easy ...she`s a sweety though and I think in a month or so we`ll iron out the wrinkles!
I`m a mommy of two now!!!! I have children!!! hehhehe LOVING IT!!

Here`s my labour story..:)
My labour was amazing..like in a horrible and exciting and beautiful way HEHEHE
I felt my first pains (very much felt like bad menstrual cramps) the night of the 7th then on the 8th around 11 am I started timing them and they quickly went from 10 min to 6 then 4..also had some bloody show so I knew I was actually going into labour on my own today andw ouldn`t have to be induced the next day!! YAY!!

Hubby was at work and mom came over to be of assistance in case I needed her. By 3 or so pm I was ready to see what was going on and they were about 3 min apart. By the time we got to the hospital and found out I was only a fingerttip dilated...the contractions also seemed to fade a bit. GRRR so sent home by 5 and spent the next 2 hours at home until I couldn`t take it hahha. I HATED bundling up and riding in the car let me tell you. So we`re back at 7 pm...went fast after that ..or it seemed fast. I found out I was 5cm around 8pm...and was sooo thrilled!! All that pain was working hahha...and the nurse was soo great and told me she really thought I could handle the rest since I did till then. I knew I could (I wanted to try anyway)they didn`t even offer me anything..so thats what I did it with..hahah..and in another hour was up to 8cm. By 10:30 or so I was ready to get her out and doc finally came. It was bizarre cuz I kinda went into this other world and was soo happy that I think that took some of the pain away. Of course I went off track a couple times but the nurse and JF brought me back to focus. THE WORST thing I recall was that stupid monitor around my belly and how I wanted it OFF hahha Doc found she had the cord around her neck and I think that was why he was so quick to do the episiotomy and get me pushing so hard to get her here. so I tore too...OOWWWWW but it`ll get better. At 11:41 she was out and the most precious beautiful baby ...I`ve never been so happy in my life. Jf was sooo cute too..and so proud of me. I now know what you guys have gone through and it`s something you can never know till you do it. WOW is all I can say.

She was 8 lbs 2 oz and 20 and 3/4 inches long. Shè was down to 7 lbs 12 oz when we left the hospital on the 10th. I SHOULD have stayed another day I imagine but was anxious to get home and they needed the beds. Once here I just couldn`t help but overdo it. My advice is TAKE THE TIME TO REST!! But I`m fine. Taking my sitz baths and spraying my nether region after every potty break...ughhhh will be soo happy when that is all healed up. It already feels tonnes better. THANK you to Metamucil who allowed me to have a half decent first BM hahhah..I will NOT go off it till I am 100 %

ANYWAY the whole thing was amazing..I can`t wait to see what she weighs tomorrow at her 1 week check up!! hugs to all and hope everyone is doing great!
