Savannah`s birthstory

We checked into the hospital at 9:00pm on Thursday night. At 10:30pm I was given Cytotec PO (oral medication to start contractions) At 2:30am on the 14th I was given one more dose of the Cytotec. I was started on pitocin at 9:42am on the 14th and ready to have my waters broke by the Dr. but he was in surgery and said he would be done around noon. Well, noon came and went and by 5:00pm on the 14th I was fully effaced and the nurse felt my bag of water bulging. She didn`t know how much longer I would make it! Thankfully, that`s when the Dr. showed up! He broke my bag of water and 3 pushes latter out came beautiful Savannah! She had the cord wrapped around her neck once, but was fine. Savannah Leigh weighs 6 pounds 13 ounces is 20.1 inches long and entered this world at 5:12pm on December 14th 2007.
