Caleb`s birthstory

I woke up at 2:30am with contractions only like 3mins apart, but realized this is my usual `pee` time so I thought that going would probably slow down or halt the contractions but they didnt. I didnt have any bloody show yet either so I went back to bed. Contractions didnt stop so I thought I should start timing them better so I used an online contraction timer. They were 1 and 1/2mins apart and 30-40sec long. I didnt know if they were real or serious because they are supposed to be 1min long. Decided to wake up hubby and had him call hospital and they said to come in. Called my mom to come watch the kids and as soon as she came we left. Its a 40min drive, and I was continuing to have contractions 1-2mins apart. It was not a fun drive. When I got there I was already 9cm. HOLY COW! Glad I decided not to wait. They broke my water and I got into the birthing tub. I dont know how long I pushed. Only a few times and he was born. I was soooo glad to have him out! Yes, I had a short labor but it was strong and hurt like heck. Not a moment of fun, until the joy of feeling him plopped onto my chest by my husband who helped baby come out. It was fun to keep the sex a surprise until that magical moment. After a little while I got into the bed to deliver the placenta. They weighed him and measured him. He is 9lbs 14oz. and 21inches. His head is an inch larger than the average baby. I didnt tear at all and am recovering well. Isabel and Josiah were able to visit for a bit. Isabel is excited. Josiah isnt so sure. Baby Caleb has been nursing. He`s a sleepy baby. Took my like an hour to wake him up and keep him awake enough to eat. LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!
