Rhys-Fort`s birthstory

Water broke on saturday night, waited 16 hours to call my doctor because I really wanted a natural birth. We headed into the city, but no contractions really started. Went into the Hospital at around 5:30. Was admitted because they wanted to induce!!( noooo!) I was a blew to keep my doc away for 2 hours, which was amazing of her to give us that time to try and get things started on our own. Contractions really didn`t get stronger so I agreed to be induced. The Pitocin was AWFUL it hurt so badly i thought I was dying but I just kept thinking i`m doing this for my son. They checked me at 1:30 am and i was still only 4 cm dilated and 70 % effaced. At this point I asked for an epi because i thought it was going to be awhile. About an hour later she came to give me the pain killer, I signed off and she was getting ready with the cart when a strong contraction hit. I felt the need to push. I told them and they checked me again, I was 10 cm and ready to go. Aftera half hour of pushing our beautiful son Rhys was born. It really urt but I had no pain killers and did it on pitocin. Go me. He is amazing and he already is a dads boy! i`ll post pics soon.

Ellery-Valentine-Fort`s birthstory

Contractions started at 5 am, 10 min apart, very quickly they moved to 5-8 minutes apart. Called my Doula and mymom ( to come watch my son). headed to the hospital at 8am, arrived and was admitted by nine am. Walked in at 8 cm dilated! Labored for about 1hr45 min, then pushed for 15 min and she was here! I did most of the laboring in the tub which felt great I did not like the pushing at all, with my son I liked that part best. I tore a bit and so now I really hurt, but we are all healthy and happy. Go home tomorrow!
