Tiernan-Philip-Campbell`s birthstory
After no contractions all day Wednesday I could feel myself getting frustrated so Shawn, Keiley and I went walking around Walmart to kill some time. We got home about 8:30-8:45, got Keiley ready for bed and got her to sleep. About 9:12 I had a pretty painful contractions so I decided to start documenting them. From then til about 10:00 I had irregular contractions 5-13 minutes apart. I went to the bathroom and noticed I was bleeding so I called L&D and told them I was contracting and bleeding but it was pink, not bright red. They said as long as it is not bright red and running down my leg I should be okay to labor at home until my contractions were more consistant and to use my best judgement. So I got back into bed and continued to contract. At 11:44 on the nose (according to my documentation) I had a SEVERE contraction that about made me pass out. I then felt a gush and for a second thought my water had broke, but I just knew that wasn`t it. I ran to the bathroom to see bright red blood all over! It was down my legs and filled the toilet. I yelled for Shawn saying `WE HAVE TO GO NOW` and off we went. I was in so much pain on the way! :( We got to the hospital and back into a room and about 20 minutes later they had me hooked up and ready to go. They checked me and I was STILL 2cm dilated (same as Monday) So they decided to let me labor for about an hour and see what happened since Tiernan`s heart rate seemed okay. A little while into this after watching Tiernan`s heartrate stay at a great level and watching him kick the monitors, his heartbeat was gone. I though he kicked the thing off at first until I looked and saw that the red line had plunged to the 40`s. The nurse was there in seconds and had called the medical staff in there stat! She advised me that an emergency C-section was probably about to happen. The on call doctor as well as MY OB were in the room going an ultra sound, as one nurse hooked me up to an IV and the other put oxygen over my mouth trying to get me to breath. They were flipping me from side to side trying to get his heartrate to come back up. I looked at Shawn and he just kept saying I love you. Tiernan`s heartrate came back strong and everyone decided to let me labor for a minute. They checked me again and I was 3cm 70% effaced, but they gave me an epidural anyways because my pain was so bad and they wanted me to be ready for a c-section if he dropped again. After watching his heartrate drop into the 60`s during almost every contractions they checked me (no change) so they told me that they were going to give me 30 minutes and if I hadn`t made any progress they were going to take me back. My DR broke my water and they started patocin. 30 minutes in and a couple scares later she checked me...7cm 90 %!! She sounded so relieved and reassured us that that made her feel alot better about the situation. So we pushed forward. After another 30 minutes and another few scares later she checked again...this was my last hope....either I was ready or it was time for surgery. Then she said those magic words...`YOU ARE COMPLETE!` WOW!! She told me to push on the next contraction to get the baby ready for the doctor. I took a deep breath and pushed for about 3 seconds before she was yelling at me to stop because his head was already there. As she got the doctor I started to throw up so Shawn was told to literally hold my legs closed so I didn`t throw up the baby! Dr. Dinger came in and told me to push...again another 3 seconds later and I heard STOP! They broke down the bed got ready and a push and a half later Tiernan Philip Campbell was here! 6 lbs 14 oz 19.5 inches long and screaming the most beautifiul sound! It was such a scary morning but we are all doing well and my son is strong and absolutely perfect! :) I love my little miracle son!

Charlie-J-Campbell`s birthstory
On Saturday night, I was up ALL night long with contractions. They were irregular and uncomfortable but I was hoping for the best. In the morning they stopped and I was dissapointed! Well later on that morning I realized I was having some of my bloody show and got REALLY excited! So Shawn, the family and I went walking around Lowe`s and just trying to stay active. Well needless to say NOTHING happened ALL DAY Sunday....(a few contractions here and there but nothing major) I was really sick to my stomach and was even throwing up. Around 2 AM Monday morning I started having contractions. They were immediately 5-7 minutes apart and stayed that way for a few hours. They were not painful but very uncomfortable and I could feel them in my back....I knew this was different but still tried not to get my hopes up. At 5 AM THEY COMPLETELY STOPPED!!! I was pissed but tried to rest anyway just in case.....45 minutes later a HUGE contractions hit and I knew I was in labor. 7 minutes later another huge contrations hit and I decided it was time to wake Shawn up. I had a Dr. appt at 9:30 AM but figured I would go in when the office opened and see what my dr. said since I was TERRIFIED I would get sent home. So I labored at the house until 8AM and we headed to Riverton (about 20-25 minutes away) to my dr.`s office. My contractions were really intense by this point and about 4 minutes apart. I walked in and told the nurse I thought I was in labor and they all got excited. One of the nurses gave me a hug and said I should have just gone to L&D!!! Well my Dr. checked me and said..` Well you are 4 CM dilated and 80% effaced! You are in active labor so go ahead and head over to the hospital! :) ` Shawn and I both smiled and headed over! ( the hospital is about 3-5 minutes from his office) We got checked in and the nurse hooked me up and checked me. I was at a 5 at that point to they called for my epidural and within 15 minues it was in and working! :) I don`t get strong doses so I can still feel the pressure and move...it just took the edge off! :) WHEW! ;) I started making calls and the nurse checked me again (about 30-45 minutes after the first time) and Iwas sitll a 5 so they considered putting me on patocin.(sp) but decided to break my water first and see what happened. Well about 30 minutes after that they noticed some dips in the baby`s HB so they gave me some oxygen and checked me again and I was at 7 cm and fully effaced!!!! (I HAD NO NEED FOR ANY MEDICAL INTERVENTION WITH LABNOR YAY!!!!)The RN called my dr. in the room....I asked her why she was calling him when I was only at a 7 and she said because she didn`t trust my cervix and she knew this baby was coming FAST!!!! Dr. Dinger came into the room and checked me and sure enough withing that 15 minutes I dilated to a 10 and was ready to push! I started to push and they counted 10....9...8...STOP STOP STOP!!! Charlie`s head was already almost out so they had me stop so the Dr. could suit up. Then, 2 pushes later, Charlie J Campbell was born weighing in at 7 lbs 15 Oz and masuring 20 inches long! I love him so much and I am sooooo happy he is FINALLY HERE!!!! :)
