I was induced w/ Valek 1 week early due to high blood pressure and swelling. I went into the hospital at 5:30am (too early for me!), another lady came in right before me and acually got my room because she was in active labor so I got another (boring) room! we got all settled in and I got my IV-and they got pitocin started (by the way...NOT MY FAV!) and then my doc broke my water. alittle after that the contractions were hurting so they gave me nubane to help the pain and help me rest a bit-it took forever for me to dialate :-( my mom kept telling me to be quiet! i was moaning pretty loud from contractions! haha finally they told me i could have my birthing room and my epidural!!! so they moved me (@ 4 centimeters) in the few min it took to move me they checked me again (not even 5 min later) and I was at a 7-they got the epidural in and i laid back down and i was at a 10 (not even another 5 min!!!) haha, so they were ready to have me start pushing I was still pretty drugged up from the nubane but knew where i was and what i was doing! it only took a few pushes and the vaccum (for a sec) to get him out!

He had great apgar scores and was very healthy! My little boy just turn 9 and is still doing great!!!

i was also induced w/ Jocelyn 1 week early due to the high blood pressure and swelling (again)! My mom & I were @ the hospital again @ 5:30am! we got to my room and got set up-at 10:30 my doc came in and broke my water. within 1 hour i had my epidural-pain didn't even set in yet!!! thank the lord! after that it was smooth sailing! no pain and i just waited for the pressure to push! it only took alittle bit and she was right out (w/out the vaccum!)! joci had good apgar scores just like valek and is a very healthy little 5 year old girl!!!

she is ready for this baby to get here!!! she'll be a good big sissy & mini mommy!

Clover-Lilly`s birthstory

Well sunday night (11.15.09) I was hoping to get a good night`s sleep, but that didn`t happen-I was too wired & excited for my induction the next morning! I kept finding random things to do all night long-laundry, cleaning and going to Wal-mart at 1:30 am for an hour! I kept trying to go lay down, but every time I did I had to get back up because there was something else keeping me from sleeping! haha

Well 5:50 am rolls around...FINALLY! We got up and got in the shower, got the kids ready to take them up to grandpa before school. Joe and I got my mom and headed to the hospital. I had to be there at 7:15 am.

We got to the hospital and got checked in, my nurses started my monitors, blood pressure, IV and any paper work needed to be done. My doctor came in and talked to us to figure out how this induction was going to go (little did I know every doctor and hospital is different-my mom kept telling me `Ashley, we aren`t in Indiana anymore!`)
They made me walk around for 2 hours-which I thought was stupid! I walked down the hall once and started bitching to my mom about how lame it was! haha So instead I nested in my room and rearranged it w/ Joe and my mom-they got pretty annoyed! But my room was the way I could handle it-atleast for labor and delivery (yes, I made Joe help me move things around AGAIN after they would let me walk!).
Finally at 11am they started the pitocin and broke my water-Labor started 30 min later! My contractions weren`t picking up on the monitors-so they checked me and saw that I had made progress so I got to have my epidural-Thank God he came in w/in 15 min!

While he was doing it he scared the hell outta me when he told me I would feel a little tingle-well that `little` tingle was a BIG ASS jolt all the way down my leg-never had that before! Everybody in the room jumped when I did! I started bawling-I couldn`t tell why-probably just because it scared me so bad. I had to more smaller one`s and I finally started feeling the numbness!
We bumped up the pitocin once again and then it was side to side and to my back.
I kept my facebook updated throughout the day while I was stuck in bed. I started feeling contractions again alittle bit so the nurses checked me again-well I was at 6 and 80%. (this was at 3:55pm)
My contractions were still bothering me in one spot-`HOT SPOT` contractions!!! yay for me.
They checked me again and I was complete-so we did A practice push and she told me to stop right away because Clover was coming! We got the doctor in real quick then got the camara set up (not on my vag) we were all set and I was just blowing through my contractions trying not to push until he was ready to catch! haha well finally they told me to go ahead and push-so w/in a couple of pushes and she was right out!

For the first time ever I let them put her on my chest! Gross-but ok! Joe cut the cord for the first time too! Gross-again! She came out quiet so they thought there was something wrong w/ her-but turns out she`s just our first quiet baby ever! haha
They brought her back to me and it was so weird, she just didn`t seem real or mine (I don`t think I was as ready as I thought I was).
Over the next few hours, I got to know my new daughter-w/in those hours I finally felt she was mine! She is so amazing-I can`t wait to do it again!

My doctors and all of my nurses throughout the days at the hospital were all pretty much amazing!

I did end up tearing my right labia just enough for 1 stitch-ouch when I pee! But it was worth it! And on thursday (11.19.09) I was home w/ my family and I started out the day as a 40c bra size and w/in 12 hours I was up to a 44 DD! WOW THAT SUCKS!
My breasts were red, swollen, hot, hard and painful..... I was getting hot flashes and chills, I swear I was in and out of the bathtub 100 times trying to warm up from the chills I kept getting. I finally called the my nurse # and found out I need to go to the ER!

I found out that night that I had developed Mastitis! So I`m on another round of antibiotics for 10 days-I`m still getting hot flashes and chills, but my breasts are feeling better and better each day. I just have to watch out for a fever. I`m still leaking pretty heavily, but atleast I can lay on my tummy w/out my boobs or tummy hurting now! And I`m still nesting & very emotional-probably from the lack of sleep. I am tearing up at every little thing-worse now than when I was pregnant! haha I`m such a wuss!

But all throughout the pregnancy and still today w/ all the random problems I`m having-I wouldn`t take any of them back for anything! And I only have to go down 1-2 sizes to get back into my pre-preggo clothes before I go back to school!
