Makenzie`s birthstory

For the first time I could be at a LOST for words lol Long story short, I went in for what I figured would be a simple check-up. Another non-stress test. No...they decided to keep me for two reasons; my high blood pressure and the fact that Kenzie wasn`t moving as much as they liked. Sooo they decided to go on and induce labor. I was so nervous and scared...because I was not prepared whatsoever. I thought I had more time! Anywho...they gave me the meds to induce labor, help dilate and get things going. That didn`t happen. I stayed 1cm for hours! Did I mention they broke my water manually?! My God! When they eventually decided to say screw it and give me a c-section AFTER 24 hours of enduring contractions, I was only 3 cm! Since I`m on the topic of contractions...I`ll say this, yes they hurt (and those pain meds they gave me had me in paradise) but they were nothing compared to that damn epidural! I found that so ironic...the epidural is supposed to ease the pain yet it was the worst part for me. I actually broke down and began hyperventilating during the procedure. Everyone thought I was about to pass out. I went through the contractions like superwoman though! lol Next time I`ll just go natural. I was disappointed I wasn`t able to have a vaginal birth but the c-section was pretty neat! lol I played `try to wiggle your toes` throughout the operation...and yeah I cried which was surprising to even me. I didn`t think I would! But when I heard that strong cry of hers, I couldn`t help it! I`m soooo in love with her. This is so cliche to say because everyone says it but here it goes again...after all the pain and aches that I`ve gone through, I wouldn`t erase any of it because in the end...it was all worth it! Good luck to everyone! I will say this...I am not going through with it AGAIN!
