THE BIRTH STORY
Labour slowly started Friday night around 7pm when I got mild, but uncomfortable back pain. I dealt with it the night and woke up Saturday morning feeling fine, I had the odd contraction but nothing I hadnt already experienced, so I went about my day not thinking anything of it.
My husband and I did our morning walk, came home and I took my nap. I woke up feeling no contractions. Thought well theres another false alarm.
The rest of the day went on. My husband and I settle for the night with a movie and munchies. I went to bed around 10 pm Saturay night. By 12:30 am sunday morning I started feeling bearable contractions and something told me these ones were the real deal. I timed them and they were 13-15 minutes apart, I gave it till 1am and than got up and went to the computer to time them with the contracton master on line. I did that till about 2:30am and knew they were closer and stronger, at this point they were 2-3 minutes apart, but I could still deal. So we pack the car and off we were. We got to the hospital about 3am they monitored me and saw that yes I was having consistent contractions, so they checked me and I was 2cm, but not enough to be admitted(I was mad), so we walked the hospital for 2hours went back and checked me again and was 2cm so I had the option of get to go home and deal, walk some more or get a demeriol shot that would die out false contractions and bring on the real ones if it was in fact real labour. So I took the shot, it made me very groggy, the first hour I was contracting every 5 minutes the second hour I was contracting very 2-3 minutes and getting a tad stronger. I was than checked and was now at a 3-4cm with a bulging water. So I got admitted and off to labour and deleivery I went. Once in the room it was about 9:30-10 am on Sunday morning. Contractions got stronger and I could handle them, but the RN said to order the epideral now as he is very busy. But when I came to the point were my contractions were one on top of eachother the epideral was not there as the doctor got called to an emergency. I started to freak out so they checked me and at 11:30 am I was 7-8 cm. 1 hour later the epideral was given to me, and they broke my water. By 1pm I was happy. From there I went right away to fully dilated. They had me push but was still to frozen so they said give it an hour or so to wear off a bit. I started feeling a ton of pressure in my bottom that was almost just as bad as contractions so the RN gave me something to take the edge off. So an hour later the intern came in to have me push it was now 2:50 sunday afternoon. Still very frozen I pushed and right away her head started crowning, I reached down and felt her head there. Amazing feeling. I went throught the next contraction and pushed 3 times, on my next on the intern called for the on called delivery doctor to let him know her head was almost out and they were ready for him, on my next contraction I pushed and somehow I pushed her head completely out and the intern told me to stop pushing so I did, I was somehow so relaxed that with in seconds my daughter slipped out and there she was to my amazement on my chest, the doctor walked in with scrubs and all and said" theres no way you are done", saw things were good and left. She was born at 3:04 pm weighting 7lbs 3 ozs.
I was crying so hard that them cleaning her is a blur. My husband wiped his tears and cut the cord.
They cleaned her and and placed her on my chest and right away started to feed. It was the most amazing thing ever. Besides the fact that I did not rip or even need any foreceps or vacumn.
I know you just read a novel but I waited for this for so long and didnt want to miss out one deal of info.
For all you ladies still waiting hang in there and your time is just around the corner. Take care and god bless!!!!

I am married to the most amazing man and a proud mother of a 6 year old boy. We are all expecting our newest edition to the family July 19th and we can not wait. We found out it was a girl, I was so happy to hear that I was having a girl, I already have the most amazing boy. I am happy to say I have the perfect family.

Its hard to imagine that in just a few weeks I will be the mother of 2 children. I always knew being a mother was something I always wanted and now that it is here and I already have one having a second one on the way is even harder to get my head around. I love my son and cant wait to bring my daughter home to meet her BIG brother. I am due soon and the days get longer as I sit and wait to bring my angel home.

What can I say about my son, except he was the best thing that could have happened to me 6.5 years ago.
He is the most special boy ever, he is so sweet and sensitive. He is the kindest boy ever and such a big help to me with his litttle sister. He wants a brother super bad, so I am hoping I can give him that in a few months.
Not much new here with Cameron. He is loving grade one which it a huge change from the way I was.
He will be having his 7th birthday in a little over a month I will be sure to update things then.....Cheers
