Mason`s birthstory

I was having some problems so I went in to see my OB Friday morning and she found that I was dehydrated and lost 3 lbs. I had proteins in my urine and my feet and legs were severly swollen. I also had Polyhydramnios (too much amniotic fluid).
She sent me up to the hospital right away for induction.
I got to the hospital around 4pm. Pitocin was started around 6:30pm (I didn`t want it but we wheeled and dealed). Throughout the night I had contractions every 3 minutes but sadly no progress. I was at 4 1/2 cm around 7am the next morning. The anesthesiologist came in and gave me epidural. He injected lidocaine and my blood pressure dropped. I started dry heaving and blacking out so I was put on oxygen until things were stabalized. Then my OB proceeded by breaking my water.
After that my contractions got farther apart than instead of closer together. They went from 3 mins. apart to 6-7 mins. apart. Around 4pm I was checked and only at 5cm so my OB said c-section.
That didn`t take long and Jessy sat with me and held my hand while they got Mason out. (they discovered he was trying to come forehead first...*brow presentation*) I got to see him and give him kisses and talk to him before they took him out. (I sent Jessy with him).
Due to my anemia I started to bleed out. I got sick again dry heaving and my BP dropped. I started to freak out and was again given oxygen until stable. I thought for sure I was going to pass out. Following the surgery I spent 45 minutes in recovery getting another IV for a blood transfusion and then sent to my room to be with my family and Mason. (I was transfused 2 bags of blood throughout the night)
For the remainder of my stay my BP remained lower than usual but stable.
Mason had no complications at all except the swollen head.

He weighed 6lbs. 6.7oz. and is 19 1/2 inches long. (38 weeks gestation)

Mason and I were both released before noon on Monday. We are both doing well!
