The little happy face I chose for this is sooo appropriate. Because believe I sang my little heart out during my labour, and it was not pretty singing it was yelling...lol. This above all my labours was the toughest and most painful.
My water broke at 4am, and contractions started not long after and were four minutes. I took a shower, waited a bit then contractions turned to 10 minutes apart, oppps now we are changing to every four or two minutes apart...this is nuts. I am going to the hospital because I am gushing water and thinking that this little one could be born anytime. So off we went to the hospital....on route we almost hit a coyote....WTH....contractions stop. Thanks Coyote....
Get to the hospital..nearly died when I found out we were only 3cm dialating.....Ok hunny we are going walking...and we walke, and when we walked the contractions hit and were strong!!!!! So we went back in to get checked, different doc this time says 4 CM,,,,,YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME..... Doc says keep walking. I said no I am going in the water. Sat in the water, contractions got heavier and on top. They would not stop...finally got out. Called nurse and said I think I should be checked...they had a hard time because contractions would not stop. Got checked by once again another DOC....6CM...WTH....now I am in tears. I go back to the water, finally get checked 8cm.....Now I am back in the water thinking of Tangerina so I start to focus on the water hitting my leg....it actually took the edge of this crazy labour pain....I mean I was tired...done...and wanted her out. Finally I get back out...on to the bed, they check me again....9 1/2 CM .....ok now I am crying cause I just can't deal with this anymore...I ahve never lost such self control during my labours but I was during this one. So doc comes in has fingers up me and says push....are you kidding!!!! So I push and at the same time scream.....get out.....get out....then proceed to pull the doctors hand out.
THIS IS THE BEST PART!!!! They all leave...doc, nurses...everyone...just me and hubby. WTH...so I have a few contractions then decide to push to hell with the nurses doctor....Hubby says we can do this...I start to push...her head is coming..nurse comes in yell STAT for doc..hahaha...then they tell me to stop pushing...um NO!!!
She is coming out of my vagina...it is wide and hurts like hell and you want me to hold it...no way!!! So I put my hand to my vaginal and hold her head as she is coming out. Then she sits there...they check for cord...and I push her shoulders out...man that was hard. And out came our beautiful Autumn. She was born 13 hours after my water broke...the longest most agonizing labour I have ever had. But she was worth it.
