Tyler Joseph was born on December 24, 2005 to first time proud parents Jason and Amanda. He weighed in at 7 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches. Jay picked the name Tyler, and I picked Joseph because it was Jay's grandfather's name who passed away when Jay was a kid, and I wanted to pass the memory down to my son. Tyler literally saved me from myself. I was headed down the wrong path, and fast. When I found out I was pregnant I was both terrified and excited. I didn't think I would be able to take on the challanges of motherhood, but as days went by I became more confident.

When Tyler was just one month old (January 24, 2006) he underwent sugary because he had a stomach problem called Pyloric Stenosis. (His father had the same thing as a baby.) The doctors told us when we have another child, that baby won't have Pyloric Stenosis. It usually happens to the first born boy. Today Tyler is a happy and friendly two in-a-half year old who will become a Big Brother very soon!! I'm so excited to see him play and teach his little sister!!!!

When Tyler was 11 months old (November '06) I became pregnant! Unfortanetly God had other plans for my growing family. When I was 5 months pregnant, we went to the doctor to find out the gender but he couldn't find it right away. Come to find out, the baby had what is called The Mermaid Syndrome (Sirenomelia) It's a rare condition in which the legs are fused together. The baby has a heart beat, but it doesn't have a bladder or liver. This condition is found in approximately one out of every 70,000 live births (about as rare as conjoined twins.) The doctor told us that our baby had only 1% chance of surviving after it's born, (only three babies with Sirenomelia were born and survived, but soon after passed away.) so after thinking about it long and hard we decided to terminat the pregnancy. The doctor told us if I decide to go full term and ended up having a stillborn it would mess my body up and there's a big chance that I wouldn't be able to get pregnant. Baby Bean grew wings on March 26th, 2007. Bean will forever be missed and always be remembered. In our lives for a short while, but always in our hearts. Since we don't know the gender the baby goes by "Bean", but we also picked out two names; Shawn or Savannah.
