Logan-Nash`s birthstory
I woke up around 2:30 am with some cramping and steady contractions. But the contractions weren`t very close together or painful so I decided to just walk around the house for a bit and then get a shower. I was probably in the shower for about an 45 minutes, trying to shave my legs at one point just to stay under the hot water longer. The contractions were probably about 7 to 10 minutes apart now. I got out of the shower about 4:30 and layed in bed on my pregnancy pillow. I decided I would call my Mom and Sister in a while and tell them not to bother going to work that morning. 2 minutes after I layed down I felt a rumble go through my body and started freaking out. I thought I really had to go poo all of the sudden and started to get up... That`s when my water broke... As I realized what was going on I jumped up and called the office. I was pretty much hovering over my toilet at this point just letting the water pour out of me! I called my Mom and Sister and told them to get to the hospital but not to rush. By the time the doctor called back a couple minutes later I was having extremely painful contractions every minute or so and was having a hard time moving around or doing anything, and still hovering over the toilet... naked none the less... Ty was awake before I had showered but he was sleeping on the couch so I woke him and told him to get everything ready for the hospital and in the car. He probably had the car ready to go for about 20 minutes before I could manage to get dressed and get out to it. I felt like I couldn`t even breathe through or between contractions for the 2 minute ride over to the hosital. And once we got there I had to keep stopping every minute or so and try and get through my contraction before I could try walking again. My Sister had beat me to the hospital when we got there at 5:00 am! I took a while to get upstairs let alone getting in a gown for them to check me. I couldn`t lay on my back for them to even get monitors on or give me an IV and told them I felt like I needed to push. The nurse checked me as best she could and I was complete. No time for even a fluid IV let alone an epidural and I was not happy about it. But I was also feeling like I needed to push and push. So I did and about 15 minutes and 10 pushes later Logan Nash was born. He came so quickly!! It was not even close to how I pictured my first delivery going but it was not horrible either. The worst part in my mind was laying there after it was all over, covered in sweat and freezing, just wanting to put my legs down and get under a blanket while she did my stitches. The doctro said it was just a few but it felt like forever!! Tyrus made it through with me too! I don`t really think he had any time for much else but he did great! I was so glad he was there. And Logan was wide eyed and awake for at least an hour as soon as he came out and each time he heard our voices he would arch his little neck and stretch out trying to find us. He is perfect! ;-) And latched well right away too! So far so good but we`ve only been home for a couple hours so we shall see....
