Mason-Sean`s birthstory
I went in to be induced (a week early) because of my other labors being so fast. At 11:30am they broke my water but Mason was still in no hurry and contractions still didn`t start. At about 2pm they started me on patosin although I was getting tiny contractions, I still was not in labor....then all of a sudden labvor started at 3:40...the contractions were hard, and my back was killing me. She checked me at 4pm and I was at 7 centimeters. At 5:00 I was fully dialated and with every contrction I could feel Mason moving down.
This was my 3rd baby....and I knew something was different. I started pushing and the pain was even more terrible than the other 2 (i would never have believed it to be possible...it lifted my back right off the bed, after about 10 minutes The midwife said `kristin I am so sorry, your baby is facing up`. I remember thinking that he was ripping through my body and saying to myself...if I keep p[ushing he will seriously rip through me and I will die...then rationally thinking...there is only one way out of this now.
He was born at 5:36pm. He did not rip me open enough to kill me but him coming into this world broke my pelvis and caused a severe tear. They also had to keep me on IV medication till the next morning to try and control the bleeding. He was 7lbs 4 oz, a pound smaller than my other 2 kids, and yet caused to most damage. I am just now walking without a walker. I still need the brace and it still hurts like hell but I am managing without pain medication ( due to brestfeeding) and am in complete and utter baby bliss. My son is perfect. He will be my last (they said attempting child birth will again break my pelvis) but I would do it all over again in a single heartbeat!
