Mylie-`s birthstory

Ok it all started when my water broke on July 4th at exactly 2:00am. I woke up to use the restroom, my boyfriend asking if i was ok when all of a sudden a huge gush of fluid came out. I quick packed my bag, and went over to my moms house with my boyfriend. I quick took a shower and then we were on our way. We got to the hospital at 4:00am. I was admitted into a room. I was checked at about 7am and was still 3 cm (i was 3cm at my 39 week apt). That never ended up changing, they put me on pitocin at 8am and checked me a few more times but i never progressed. I got an epideral after about 8 hours of pitocin, that was HELL! that guy didnt know what the hell he was doing, it took him literally an HOUR to get it in. Not to mention i had a bruise the size of an apple on my back after from all the pokes that he had to do. They put me on a internal contraction moniter and put an internal heartbeat moniter on her head. Her heartbeat dropped to the 80's a few times so at about 6pm, they told me that they will check me at 8pm and if i hadn't progressed with 10 hours of pitocin, they would bring the attending doc in to talk about a c section. Of course i was counting down the minutes until it was 8, my midwife came in, checked me, and i was still 3cm, her head just wasnt down there enough. So the doc came in at about 8:20 and checked me and said that i can either get it over with now and have a c section or wait 2 more hours only to have to have a c section. So i said, if a c section is what i will ultimately end up having, i will just get it down with now. So they immediatly started getting ready and i was soooo nervous. I asked everyone to leave the room except my boyfriend and sister because i got soo nauseated. Ended up throwing up but i had nothing in my stomach so it hurt really bad. I had to drink that NASTY shot of whatever it is to get rid of my stomach acid for the c section, let me tell you...that is disgusting! then the stupid guy came back to give me my meds for the surgery...got wheeled in and they started before my boyfriend got to come in. But once he was there, i felt so much better! The medicine wore off before they were finished and i could feel everything so the guy had to give me meds to make me sleepy, but that didnt work either. (afterwards, he told me it didnt work because he had to put my epideral higher than usual) Anyways so my precious baby girl was born at 9:31pm, weighing 7lbs 11oz. They had to help her get going a little bit but then they cleaned her up and my boyfriend and mom trimmed the cord and then i got to see her. That was the most AMAZING moment of my life. She is my everything. I got wheeled back to my room and was almost crying in pain so they gave me some meds that took about 15 minutes to kick in...after that it was smooth sailing. I got out of the hospital on July 7th.
