Blake-Jr`s birthstory

I went in the hospital at 5:30 am for an induction. I was already 2 cm dilated when I got there and I was able to be in the same room that I had the last time when I had my daughter 18 months before! They started me on pitocen at 6 am. I tryed to labor as long as I could without getting the epidural early. The contractions were so strong after about a couple of hours that I deiced to just go ahead and get the meds, plus the contractions were making me sick. When I got the epidural I wasn`t numb all the way yet and the doctor had to stop and numb me some more. After that everything was smooth, the epidural worked so well that I got really loopy! My nurse came in at point around 12:15 and checked me and I was a 6, then my doctor came in at 12:45 and I was 9 1/2! Wow 3 1/2 cm in like 30 mins and still felt great with the epidural. They started to set everything because I started to feel pressure in my butt, nothing too bad. I was doing so good I had one practice push and he was already crowning! I barely had to push maybe 5 times and he was here! The only thing was the doctors had to be careful because the baby had pooped in the womb. I had no pain pushing or even after having him. It was just great the way everything went, the whole labor and delivery! Blake Tan Azrael Nguyen Jr was born at 1:25pm, he was 7lbs 11oz and 20 1/2in long. He is so beautiful and he looks just like his sister! He is doing so good and we got to come home on the 9th. I just love him so much, him and his sister!

Well here's how my wonderful gift came into this world!

On Tuesday the 5th I had to go into the hospital at 5:30 pm to start my induction. They started off with cervidil at around 7:20 pm and I would have to wait 12 hours with that in. I couldn't sleep, not even with sleep medication. I was told that my doctor would come in at 7:20 am Wednesday to take the cervidil out and see where we were. Well I was dilated to a 2 when I went in and the next day when my doctor came to see me (which was after 8 am) I was a soft 3. He went ahead and broke my water then and started me on pitocin at 10 til 9 am. I waited twenty minutes and said pain medication please. Waited til nearly 10 am for them to do my epidural. It wore off three times! I was really sick by then. My doctor came in around 4 pm to check up on me, I was wrapped head to toe in warm blankets I felt so cold. So he did an internal moniter to the baby's head, and I had finally decied to have my epidural redone.(My doctor even asked me if I wanted to stop and have a c-section, I said no thinking that he was joking, come to find out later he hadn't been!) I felt great after I had it redone, but then I had the shakes and i said "o well at least I feel better!" Well around 6pm I started to feel pressure in my bottom and they checked, I was an 8 almost a 9 and wouldn't you know the new epidural started to wear off as well. They hurried to get more into the drip cause I was getting ready for her to start down the birth canal. By now I had a small fever and her heart rate was up to add to the problems, so they put me on oxygen and meds for the fever. I pushed from alittle after 6 pm til 8:17 pm when she was born. ( When ever my nurse had said to do little pushes I would say " NO I have to do big pushes!" It is funny now but it wasn't then!) At 8:17 pm on Wednesday Yazmyn Elayne was born. 8 lbs 1 oz, 20 inches long baby girl! I freaked out and all I could keep saying was " I had a baby, I had a baby!" I couldn't believe it. She was born with cord wrapped around her neck and was very limp, but no sooner had they put her on me and I placed my hand on her head her eyes opened. They took her across the room and we both were looking for each other as my husband puts it. My daughter and I locked eyes from across the room trying to look back at each other. She's beautiful and healthly, everyone kept telling me as I was being sewen up from ripping. I was so happy I didn't even care about the pain anymore, she mattered most. We stayed til Friday and being home with her is the greatest joy
