Ellie-Sophia`s birthstory
I was scheduled to be induced on 4/9, but my little girl had plans of her own. At 2am on 4/2 I begin having back pain. I tried to fall back to bed but the pain was getting worse. I woke my partner up at 3am and she ran the bath for me and I took 2 tylenol (this had helped me the past weeks when I was feeling crampy). This time however it was not working. I did not think it was contractions because I did not feel it in my tummy, only having back pain and pressure to have a bowel movement. At 4 am it was getting worse so we called the hospital and they said that if my water had not broke or I was not getting contraction 2-3 minutes apart (which neither was happening) then to just stay at home. At 5 am I was lying in bed and got a bad pain. I jumped out of bed and when I stood up, some water ran down my leg. I was not sure if I had just gone to the bathroom from the pain or if my water had broke, but when I got to the toilet I saw that I had lost my mucos plug and my water had broke. We rushed to the hospital got there at 6am and when I got there I was only 2cm dialated. I could of sworm I was at least 5:) At 7am they gave me demeral and phenergan and it knocked me out. At 9 I got my epidural which I did not feel at all. I slept all the way up until I was fully dialated. At 11am I was fully dialated, but my Dr. was not ready yet so they told me if I was not in pain (which I was feeling no pain, it was great) then I could wait for the DR. and that way the babys head would drop lower and make pushing easier. I decided to wait. At 3pm my Dr. arrived and we begin to push. Again I did not feel any pain. At 4:17, our little bundle of joy Ellie Sophia came into the world. She is so perfect!!!!! All in all it was a great labor and very easy delevery!
