Tauri-Lyniah-Warren`s birthstory
First of all, my thanks goes to God for giving me a healthy baby. I arrived at the hospital for induction at 7am on December 16th. At 8am, the doctor broke my waterbag and adminstered pitocin. I didn`t want the pitocin at first, but then he explained to me why it was needed so I didn`t argue with him. I was still 2cm when I got to the hospital, but by noon I had got to 4cm and decided on an epidural. To all of those who do an all natural childbirth with NO drugs...I tip my hats off to you! I wanted to do it, but it just didn`t work. By the time I got to 4cm, the contractions were every 2 minutes and coming really close and hard so I told my mom to call the anesthesiologist. After that, labor was a breeze; I was dilating 1 cm per hour. Around 7pm, the doc came to check me and I had got to 7cm. I thought I was doing good but he said I should have progressed more by then. Tauri just was not moving down like she should`ve been. He said he`d check again at 9pm and if I hadn`t dilated more or she hadn`t moved down, he was gonna do a c-section. I cried, mama prayed and Terry was just like `I just want my baby here`. So at 9pm, just my luck, I was STILL only 7cm and Tauri was NOT budging. We all said a prayer (me, mom, Terry and brother) and they wheeled me off surgery. About 30 minutes of tugging and she was out. Tauri Lyniah Warren was born at 10:00pm; 6lbs, 11 oz, 19.5 inches. Beautiful dark brown hair and looks just like her father. The total labor was 14 hours and even though I`m in pain from that funky c-section, I would do it all over again just for her. I haven`t gotten rest cuz every few hours, she`s nursing or a nurse is messing with me! But when I get home and settled, I promise to post pics! God bless the rest of your pregnancies!
