Ashdyn-Paul`s birthstory

We were supposed to be at the hospital at 7 am for a planned induction. Well, we went out to breakfast before going to the hospital, and while we were eating, the hospital called and told me that their delivery room were full, and instead of coming in at 7, I should call between 7 and 7:30....so dh and I drove around for a bit and called at 7, they said they would have a room ready a 7:45, so we drove around a bit more, got to the hospital right at 7:45, we were told to wait, ended up getting into a room at about 8:30. They started the Pitocin at 9:10am, telling me it would not start working right away, well contractions started about 5 mins apart around 9:20, and the doctor came in and examined me, 3 cm, 80% effaced at 10:30, the contractions slowed down a bit after that as I was not allowed out of bed for an hour, but once I got up at 11:30am, they got strong and were about 2 mins apart....about 12:15 I started asking for an epidural, and the nurse checked me and I was 7-8 cm. Doctor arrived shortly after I got my epidural (which, at this point was not working so well) and said she thought I was closer to 7 cm, but I should be delivering in a couple hours. So, doc & nurse left, and dh left to use the bathroom. about 5 mins later, I noticed that I wasn`t feeling the contractions so much anymore, but I was starting to feel a lot of pressure in my bottom, I reached down, and I was pretty sure I could feel baby`s head...called the nurse, said sorry, and that I felt stupid since the doctor had just checked me....she checked me and asked, `where is your husband? Your baby`s head is right there, you`re complete` So, she found the doctor and my husband, and I pushed twice to bring Ashdyn into the world! He was born at 1:41 pm, 4 1/2 hours from start to finish. His face is bruised up because I delivered him so fast, but he is absolutely beautiful!!!
