Trinity-Alexis`s birthstory

Well, I lost my mucous plug on Saturday the 16th and some fluid came out with it. I thought that I might have been leaking fluid so I went to the hospital. I was there for 3 hours and they did 3 different tests and found that I was not leaking amniotic fluid so they sent me home. All day Sunday I was leaking stuff but it was more mucousy than fluidy so I didn`t worry. On Monday I noticed that more of my leaking was fluid and I started to think that maybe now I was leaking amniotic fluid, but I didn`t go to the hospital. Monday night at 9PM I started having cramps and pressure and I thought they were contractions so I started timing them and they were coming at 10 min. 12 min. 15 min. and so on so I figured they were and went upstairs to get some sleep before I had to go to the hospital. I had some really hard contractions at night and then they started getting closer together so I woke up my husband and we went to the hospital at 6 AM. They checked me and I was 1cm and 75% effaced, and they checked my fluid and it was amniotic fluid so they kept me. About 3 hours later they checked me and I was 2-3cm and 90% effaced. Another 5 hours later and I was still the same, and then they broke my water and from that point on things starting going faster. Long story short, my contractions throughout the entire labor were never consistent in timing but they did consistently get more intense. I wanted to do the all natural labor (no drugs at all) and I did. It was long and it took me forever to dialate to 6 cm, but then I went from 6 to 10 in an hour and that was the hardest part of the labor. I pushed for 30 min. and I tore twice and then she came out!!! It was a long labor and very hard, but it was totally worth it and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat:)
