George-Mino-Zacharia`s birthstory
ITS A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!
George Mino Zacharia has arrived and I could not be happier he is the most gorgeous little angel whom I adore and is the most precious little person in the entire universe. He is already showing to be a contented little boy who has made it so easy after just 6 days to get into a routine.
My contractions started at 2am on Tuesday 29th July 2008. They were so mild I went back to sleep but by 3.30am I couldn`t ignore them so I woke Chris up and we sat having timing them for the next couple of hours. I called the hospital at 7am and they asked me to come up but i said i would prefer to stay home til they were more painful. So I had some breakfast watched some TV and then had a bath.... But by 9.15am I was in pain that was coming on much much stronger and so much quicker with every contraction so we went to the hospital.
We got to the hospital at about 10am and I was examined about an hour later and was found to be 4-5cm dilated I was surprised I didn`t think I was that far dilated. Within 20 mins and a short walk down the hall to the delivery suite I was fully dilated (gravity was my friend) I settled into the suite then was given a pethadin shot which didn`t have time to work as George was already crowning. So the gas and air was my pain relief as well as Chris`s hands!!!! I used the stool to get George out. It was all so quick as soon as he wanted to make an appearance he done so quickly....
He was born at 13.50pm weighing 7.7lb. I was so overwelmed with happiness, disbelief and shock I just couldn`t beleive he was finally here after all the waiting.
I tore badly as I was on the stool for delivery so had to have an epidural after the birth to jhave stitiches put in whilst in theatre.
I lost a lot of blood and am now extremely aneamic so they were talking about a blood transfusion but I stayed in hospital til Thursday So i could build my strength up before going home.
Now I am home I am enjoying every second with George and Chris I can not imagine life without my little man and to think he is not even a week old yet. THE most amazing experience of my life. x x x
