Kane-Wade`s birthstory

Hello ladies...well i thought i would never get here...but here i am.
My little gladiator made his grand appearance on 6th MAy after a fast labour.
Was due to be induced by drip at 8am on 6th may but after being examined i was 4-5 cm dilated already so they decided to just break my waters at 8.30am.....ooohhh it felt soooo good once they broke..just like a warm bath.
9am contractions started thick and fast every 5 mins..i was pacing the delivery room and actually joking with my hubby as i was trying to moonwalk to try and get things speeded up. He got it on camcorder (typical). I told my midwife that i was wanting to have the baby by 10am in time for a cuppa tea and a ginger nut, then off home!
No pain relief for me as i felt i needed to `relish` my last ever labour. Besides gas & air makes me feel icky. My Midwife, Jane, kept saying to me `are you relishing Clare?` to which at that point i just thumbs up and grunted.
By 11am i was to tierd from my moonwalking, so lay down and took position...hubby holding my hand, deeply looking into my eyes and saying `you are special woman and i love you` Good grief- i am filling up now just thinking about it...he is so says the right things at times.
Time to push now- how mother nature makes you remember what to do. WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW OUCH!!! I thought i was going to pop open...a few caveman noises. I just let my body take over but still had time to joke when the contractions and urges to push subsided. I told Jane to put the kettle on...
My darling sweet hubby was wonderful throughout but very anxious especially when our bundle got stuck at one point....but i swear by my pelvic floor muscles( i did my exercises religiously throughout the pregnancy) and even the midwife commended them...his shoulders did get stuck to which midwives dug in and gave him a helping hand...then he was out...all blue, crying, bruised, heavy and PERFECT! It is amazing that how all that pain just disappears at that monent. We didnt know what we were having until hubby cut the cord....and there we saw his meat and 2 veg. His cry is loud , which needs to be in our house, to be heard, as he has 3 older siblings. He was congested cos of the tight squeeze but his colour is coming through slowly. he is a bonnie lad at 11lb and eats for Queen and country. I will be posting piccys of him very soon.
I also had a student midwife, Kim, who said we were great and wished all couples were like us. She said it was an absolute pleasure (needless to say i sent her flowers )lol.
I would just like to say that my midwives are worth their weight in Gold...and i could not thank them enough.

I am so thankful to God in all my births and giving me the blessing of children.
Our journey has just begun and i hope we can still all share our stories as our bundles grow.
