Brooklyn-Elizabeth-Wakeham`s birthstory

Tuesday afternoon I went in for my regular check up with hopes of having another membrain sweep done and an NST. To my surprise my doctor decided to induce me that day! I was really nervous but my doctor was amazing! We started at 6pm that night, with pitocin (which I was not thrilled about). Thankfully I was already 4cm when we started, so it didn`t take very much effort to get things going. I had planned on having an epidural, but everything went so fast that by the time they gave it to me I was already fully dialated. Either way it didn`t work at all, it just didn`t take and was a total waste of my time. She came very quickly, the whole thing was pretty fast and furious. Although labour wasn`t nearly as bad as I had it built up to be in my mind. The pushing part actually feels good because you feel like you`re doing something, making some progress. She arrived at 10:14, during the July 1st fireworks (for Canada day). I guess she wanted to come in with a bang!!!!!
