Caelum-Brian-Allan`s birthstory

Our littlest dog jumped on my side to cuddle and broke my water....seriously!! Then we went to the hospital, contractions started immediately but were totally tolerable.they checked and I was STILL 4-5cm, but they kept me.this was about 615. Family arrived, and backup doula since main doula at another birth.about 8pm things started picking up a bit. Had to breathe through contractions. At this point I was considering pain relief and was going to get phentanol (sp?) While waiting for epi. It took 6 tries and they kept blowing up my viens. Checked at 9pm, still 4-5.at 930 all hell broke lose and they said your behaviour is different, we`re going to check again.I started to lose control and all of a sudden I`m like I have to push!! They checked and I was at 10, in space of 1/2 hour.I pushed 3 times and he was out! Connor was first to be brought in to see him, only drs, nurses, doula and daddy present at birth b/c it was so fast! Caelum didn`t have time to get amniotic squeezed out of him as per normal during contractions, so peds saw him and he`s better. He is at nurses station as still has a bit of mucus coming up. I will post pics when I can!!
