Camden`s birthstory

I was induced at 39 weeks. Cam was not gaining enough weight, so the doctor thought it was best to get him out asap. I arrived at the hospital at 530am. It took a few hours to do all the paperwork and get settled into my birthing room. I was hooked up to an iv because I was dehydrated. I hadn`t eaten anything since the day before. My doctor arrived at 9am. He checked me and I was almost 4cm dilated. He started the pitocin and broke my water. The next 2 hrs were very calm and easy. I read the Hypnobirthing book, so I was relaxed and listening to soft music. My contractions weren`t painful or uncomfortable at this point. At 11am I began to get nauseaus, and the contractions began to get stronger. The nurse checked me and I was 7cm dilated. I was getting impatient, so I asked for an epidural to help speed things along. Less than an hr later I was 10 cm, but the baby hadn`t dropped yet. I began pushing at 1220pm. At 1232 I gave birth to my son. My labor only lasted 3 1/2 hrs and I didn`t feel any pain until afterwards. My positive attitude and calmness made this easy labor possible. I hope to break this record and have my next child in less time!

Carlos-Marciano`s birthstory

I was having irregular contractions since 11am, but I was unaware because they felt different from my last labor. My water broke soon after and I had my bloody show. I still didn`t think I was in labor, lol. I texted my friend and told her what happened and she told me to go to the hospital. DH didn`t think I was in labor, but I made him take me to the hospital `just incase`. When I arrived, the nurse hooked me up to the monitor. My contractions were like 20 mins apart. When she did a cervical exam she was shocked, because I was 5 cm and completely effaced. She paged my doctor and he came in and started pitocin. My nurse offered me an epidural and I got it 15 minutes later. she left the room for a few minutes and when she returned it was time to push. My doc came in and I pushed twice and the baby was out. We were all shocked that it went so fast!

Chloe-Mariah-Munguia`s birthstory

I had an upset stomach...i asked my husband to bring me the trash can so I could puke. Then the contractions came out of nowhere. We left home immediately (3am) & baby Chloe was born 3 minutes after we made it to the hospital. I had her im the ER without my doctor and without pain meds. It was surreal! Im so thankful for the nurses in the ER and my dh.
