I was 19 when I got preggo for Kaitlyn. Pretty uneventful pregnancy. I worked full time in a nursing home up until 3 wks from having her. I had her 2 days late. My water broke at 5:30 am. I went to the hospital and i wasn't dialated or anything. Long story short, by 2pm I was having contractions and dialated to a 4 and got an epidural. It was the most awful thing. It only numbed me on half of my body. My right side I was numb from head to toe, my left side was nothing. I could still feel everything. Finally at 7 pm I was fully dialated and ready to push.... 18 minutes later, Kaitlyn Rose was born. Weighing 6lbs and 19.5 inches long. I vowed to never get another epidural.

Kylie Sex: girl Born: 26 June, 2002 Age: 6 years & 10 days Birthday in: 355 days Starsign: Cancer Development: See the 32 months page. Biggest achievement so far: - |
I was induced 3 wks early with Kylie, because she had interouterine growth retardation. Basically she didn't grow much after 32 wks gestation. I had countless ultrasounds and non stress tests. They finally induced me at 37 wks. Started me on pitocin at 9am, broke water at 11am and she basically fell out at 3pm. (the dr was no where around, so they wouldn't let me push, by the time dr got there she was basiclly already out). She weighed 5lb 5oz and was 18 inches long. I should've known something was wrong the first day...she basically cried nonstop. Wouldn't eat and could not be comforted. They figured something was wrong the next morning when she basically went into shock. They sent her up to the NICU. She ended up having a blood infection that she contracted in utero. She developed NEC. Basically her intestines were dying to give oxygen to her brain. That first night she was placed on a ventilator and we were told they didn't know what was wrong with her, but that she was dying. At 6 days old, her bowel had perforated (had a hole). She was rushed to surgery where the surgean removed 3/4 of her lg and sm intestines. He said everything had medically been done, the rest was up to her. To make a long story short. She had an ostomy for 2 months while in the hospital, and it was reversed at 10wks old. She came home a week and half later. She now suffers from short bowel syndrome. She has chronic diarrea and troubles absorbing nutrients and vitimins from food. She gets dehydrated very easily and is usually hospitalized for any intestinal bug. She is now 5 and dong great. Our miracle baby.

Kenady Sex: girl Born: 08 June, 2006 Age: 2 years & 27 days Birthday in: 338 days Starsign: Gemini Development: See the 24 months page. Biggest achievement so far: - |
While pregnant for Kenady, the dr's watched me closely due to the problems with Kylie. At 37 wks, my husband moved out of state for a new job. He came back 2 wks later for a visit and luckily I had a dr appt that same day. She decided I should be induced due to the fact that I have fast labors and so the hubby could be there. We had to be back at the hospital that night. We went back at 6pm and I was dialated to 3. I wasn't dialated at the dr earlier that day. I didn't even know I was having contractions, I always had braxton hicks, so that is what I figured it was. I was hooked up to the monitors and the babies heartrate dropped twice, so they decided to break my water. I still wasn't feeling the contractions. I was at 4cm. At 1 am they broke my water and she was born at 4am. My biggest bay weighing 6lb 9oz and 19.5 inches long. Perfectly healthy.
37 weeks....baby girl #4!...
