my waters broke at 1 am friday morning after i went to bed, there was a POP and they gushed! So off i went to l&d where i started getting contractions 4 mins apart. Mum went home as it was still managable so i stayed in the ward and tryed to get some sleep...that was difficult! they started getting stronger and closer so i went for a bath.....which calmed them down sightly. i went for brekkie at 7 am which was quite amusing sat having contractions with other pregnant mums. at 8 am they monitorerd babys heart which was slighty deccelarting with contractions so we decided to get me up to delivery room to get things started. after another 3 hours the contractions where pretty intense so we decided to check my cervix...i was only 1-2 cm!!! so they decided for the hormone drip at which point i cryed because i know how bad contractions get with it and my contractions were pretty already bad! so i had an epidural......then thats when it all went wrong. I somehow contracted an infection in the womb in labour and got very poorly, so it was decided to have an emergency c-section. Baby charlie was born with no problems and is very healthy but i had to stay in for 2 weeks from the infection but he is all worth it!!
