Well what do I say?? lol I started having the `false contractions` Saturday.. it was Sunday when I had the show which lasted the next couple of days. Went to cinema to see Sex and the city - in the trailors 2 woman had their waters break as well as Charlottes in the movie and my other half said ''it must be a sign'' lol. I then woke up Wednesday morning about 7ish when my waters broke and I woke my other half up who took me into hospital. They then checked me at the hospital and told me I was a couple of cms and yes my waters had broke (well I could of told them that - it still coming out of me =| and people its not one big gush like they make out to you before it just keeps coming until baby comes - you don't even know when it comes so you can pop to the loo its not very nice feeling!!) Come the afternoon I was soooo tired from lack of sleep last few days I opted to having the pefadine (can`t spell it) which I was then able to sleep for an hour or so which was nice and I was very spaced out on it lol. One the midwives come to check on me - still very spaced out she said I was fully effaced and still 2cms. 2cms all day wasn`t till later that night when they tried to kick my other half out the ward at 11ish that I was in complete agony and so they checked me and I was 4cms and they said I was ready to move to the delivery ward (first they had to check to see if I was able to move as they were busy.. woman said she'd be 5mins but I swear she was longer then that!! GGRRR) Once moved to delivery ward I then had the epidural cause she was laying back to my back was why I was in so much pain (which is funny cause since week 26 she been head down either right or left and she decided to move so back to back)... Getting the epidural was scary its almost like signing your life away but I was in so much pain I did it was hard but managed to stay still enough for him to do it gripping onto my other half (was worried wasn't going to be able to have it as he was busy all day). It was worth it I didn't feel pain at all but the tightening of my stomach and not being able to breath. Thursday morning about 8.30am I told them I felt my body naturally pushing and I couldn't help it when they told me that was good I felt something as most people on epidural don't feel a thing. Midwife then told me that she'd check me at 9.00am to see whether I was ready and just before 9.00am she decided to check me when she said I was fully dialated and to just push. I pushed and 38 minutes later she came out =) I was so overwhelmed and cried like a little baby myself when they put her on my stomach lol. The other half cut the cord and held her =)... couple hours after delivery once I was washed and dressed they moved me back to cedar ward where I was before where they took out tubes - I stayed in that night till they were sure I was mobile after epidural and could toilet on my own and they let me out the next day early morning... back at home and loving being a mummy even tho shes a lil madam and very demanding at times =p xxxx
