Alyssa`s birthstory

Well it started sat night. My back hurt really bad, and I thought for some reason I just had to use the restroom, so when I went I peed and there was blood in the toilet... So I freaked out and my bf and I went to the hospital just expecting to be sent home! but when they examined me she pulled out what looked like the mucus plug (which I think it was) but there was like blood clots all over it, I know yuck.. So I kept bleeding and they decided to keep me there. they hooked me up to an IV and put me in a room and from there on I just kept leaving big blood clots in the big pads they gave me.. so from then on its kind of a blur... they sent in a perinatologist or whatever and she did an ultrasound to see if my placenta was detached but baby was blocking it so she couldnt tell.. so by then im in labor.. I kept getting a pain killer that starts with a d pumped into my IV as often as I cried about the labor pains! and Oh they were HORRIBLE! so pretty soon they just gave it to me like every 1hr and 1/2 I think. So now the plan is that their not going to stop my labor, their going to let me try to dialate myself... but then she did amniocentisis to see if that would show anything... and there was maconium in there so now thats a concern also!!! so anyway after like 30 hrs of horrible contractions, crys for the pain killer and a whole lot of tears and blood (literally alot of blood) they are telling me they still dont know for sure what its from, im thinking im going to bleed to death... they finally induced me mon morning and gave me the epudoral and out she came... I only had to push like 4 times but I swear it was the hardest thing I had to do! I felt like I was pushing the best I could have and their yelling to push harder! but finally it was over... and then just to put the icing on the cake, they cut me where they usually do.. between my butt and vagina, and then I ripped by my uretha and right libia, or something... grrr... and it turns out it was my placenta that had detached! anyway it was well worth it to meet my little Alyssa! she was 4 weeks early, coming in at 5lbs 8oz and 18in! and if she was full term I dont even want to think about how else I would have ripped! I left the hospital yesterday and she is still there until tomorrow! shes just alittle yellow and they want to make sure it goes away first! other then that shes perfect! sry so long =]
