Tali-Anna`s birthstory

Contractions started for me on Wednesday afternoon. At first few and far between, but then eventually turned into irregular contractions 10-20 minutes apart which over the next few days sometimes even got as close as 6 minutes apart...which was Saturday night. We made our way to the hospital and I was still not effaced and only a fingertip dilated. (All the docs that have checked my cervix have asked if I`ve had work done down there, because my cervix was so rigid) So then we go back home and then Sunday same thing but then all of a sudden they went from 10 minutes and the next one was at 5 minutes and the next at 3 minutes so we rushed to the hospital and I was finally dilating!! 3 cm. My doula came so promptly and was there for me the entire time helping with pressure points and hip squeezes and encouragement. I had a little fentynol, until I got to transition to which I also had gas. For the pushing phase I was not allowed neither, but the pushing phase was not painful, exhausting yes, but not painful. So after three hours of pushing I finally got the hang of it and then she came out! The first two hours of pushing I couldn`t get comfortable to push and they weren`t efficient. Once I found the trick to pushing she came out within the hour. The head came out okay but the shoulders tore me...which tearing is not as bad or painful as I thought. She is so gorgeous and was worth every ounce of energy!

Benjamin`s birthstory

Contractions started at 7pm, wasn`t sure if it was the real thing or not whereas my first labour I was very much in false labour for a loong time. Then by 9:30 decided to get my things ready just in case because they were now 7 minutes apart. 10:30 woke up Daddy and we were at the hospital by midnight and I was 3cm dilated. Had one shot of fentynol then when I asked for another one hour later they doctor refused because I was progressing too quickly so I did the rest with only the gas. He was born at 2:35 am.
