Cameron-Anthony-Chute`s birthstory
At around midnight on the 11th, me and my hub were at mcd`s getting some food. While walking over to the soda machine to fill my cup, I swore my water broke. I went to the bathroom natural to make sure. I wasn`t to sure, seeing as this was my first, so I told my hub what I thought may have happened. When we finished eating, yes, we didn`t rush home, we ate our food! I wasn`t having any pains, only a slight pain for like a second once while we were eating. So when we got back home I called my midwife to let her know that I thought my water broke and I wasn`t sure what to do, especially since I wasn`t having any contractions. We had an appointment to meet with her at 10am that morning to be checked and was told to go to bed and get some sleep. I started to pack our bags and get everything together, just incase. At 1230 is when I had my first contraction. Then my next 10 minutes later. I went to bed after like 4 of them and went to try to get some rest. I was under the impression I was in early labor. While laying in bed trying to rest with my hub, my contractions were 10 minutes apart. I got in the tub to try to relax and my contractions started to be 5 minutes apart. So at 330 we left the house to go to the birth center. We arrived like 40 minutes later and my contractions were getting close, like 3-4 minutes apart. I was 5-6 centimeters dialated and 80% effaced. I was in active labor!! I totally skipped over the early labor stage. But my water did NOT break!!! It was still intact! Although she said that it could have leaked a little, but it was definitally not broken. I got in the tub at the birth center and tried to stay comforatable (as much as I could) and just waited for my little one to make his entrance. I`d say an hour later (I didn`t see the time so I don`t know) I was at 7cm, and an hour after that I had my first urge to push. I couldn`t ignore that feeling. I was 9cm. He was ready for his entrance. My midwife had to assist him threw the cervix because I had to push, I couldn`t help it, and I wasn`t at 10cm yet. I spent and hour pushing, and out came Cameron. He was beautiful!!! I was the best feeling in the world to be holding my baby for the first time. All the hard parts of labor and the pregnancy just disappeared and I couldn`t believe I was finally a mommy. On Mother`s Day no less.
