Harley-Santino-Sarcone`s birthstory

I went in for induction 10th Dec a Thursday night at 9pm. Was checked at 10.20pm for dilation to see if I needed gel. As was already gone 3cm and had a Bishops score of 8 all that was needed was to break my waters. So at 10.20pm waters were broken. Was told that it is norm to wait a good few hours for labour contractions to kick off so get some sleep as for all we knew it could be a 5am thing. But I knew this wasnt gonna be the case!! Was straped to the monitor to check babys movements and heart rate. Within seconds I was having contractions. Was told once they were coming every 3-4 min then I would be moved to the delivery room and then my birthing partners could join me. I was on the antelnatel word so visiters had to leave a 10pm so was alone at this point. My mum and friend were being my partners as my hubby didnt cope well last 2 times almost passing out so it was best he join me when baby was born. By 11pm contractions were 4min apart. I was taken off the monitor and was told they would check for dilation again in an hour but by midnight I had called my mum and friend and told them to come now as it was getting painful and closer together. Midwife came and gave me the gas and air and instead of checking me went to find me a delivery room. My mum came and we went down to the delivery room around 12.45am and by 1am my friend was there and I was in a lot of pain but coping and inbetween my 2min apart contractions I could talk. My mum Said I was saying some funny things and had the midwifes in tears as i was so funny. By 1.15am i was feelng pressure and was checked I was 6cm and told baby had done a poo in the womb but he was fine but this ment staying on the monitor. Then she said I think she may dilate pretty quick from here on. She was right! I asked for an injection of pethidine Which made the contractions a touch better but they were still so painful. By just gone 2.15am I was yelling Im gonna push she checked me I was 10 and ready. For some crazy reason the contractions were now closer but shorter and i found it so hard to push It was then he did another poo was told baby was still ok but needed to push harder and longer as his heart rate had slowed a little. God the pain and stinging I was close to giving up but hearing that I pushed so hard my inside almost came out. At 2.45 am Harley was born doing yes another poo lol. Weighing a whooping 9lb with a lot of dark brown hair. Once i heard his cry my heart melted. My mum and friend were great and the 2 midwifes were lovely. My hubby came in once he was here. Apart from a lot of bleeding and having to sit in the tub forever to stop it im good and Harley is great. Because of him going a poo inside we needed to stay in another night. And I must say that all he did all night was poo lol we were running out of baby clothes lol.
