As mostof u know I have been in and out of hopstial every day for the last 3weeks for monitoring of my bp and proiten etc, so on Friday I went in to be induced but the labiur ward and maternity wards were so busy they werent able to start me off, i had a sweep done and was 2cm dilated and they said as soon as they had a slot for me they would break my waters and I wouldnt need the gel, after my sweep i started to feel contractions every 8mins and this went on throughtout the night. At 7.55am the next morning the midwife came and said that they had a slot for me over on labour ward, I think I jumped up a few places cause my blood pressure was ready 156/109 so I went over to labour ward and met my midwife was was so lovely, by the time she got everything sorted that need to be sorted and broke my waters I wasnt in labour until around 1.30pm ish, I done well and didnt use anything for the first hour and then went onto gas and air, when I got to 5cm I was begging for epidural but they guy had just gone into therate so I had an hours wait so I opted for the pethaine which I must say I didnt want but was fab and really helps, but in the space of an hour I was ready to push midwife checked me again and I was 8cm and I was screaming for epidural by this time, the midwife was saying to me claire u dont need it the baby is going to be born in a min but I was begging and getting worked up so they gave it to me, but 10mins later after being shouted at to push cause I wasnt listening to them as the pain was to much I was pushing, I really thought I was gonna die, lol, the midwife was telling me to push again and to keep going she was almost here and after 3pushes Jessica was born at 5.09pm. The midwife had bleep for the peds to come as Jessica's heartrate droped low during me crowning and pushing her out and she thought she might have needed a little help to breath but the moment she came out she started to cry and she was given to me straight away and i brust into tears. So the epidural didnt have time to take affect on me as it takes 20mins for it to kick in. The midwife then tryed to deliver my placenta but it wasnt coming so after trying to give me the injection to help it come and it wouldnt after 2hours of trying they decided to take me to thearte and I had to have a manual removal of my placenta so having the epidural was a good thing cause I would have had to have it anyway to go to thearte, so I went down while Darren stayed with Jessica and had my placenta removed, they stiched me back up while i was in there as well but I only had a 1cm tear and needed just a few stiches nothing major like 2 stiches at the most.
So I had a much better experience this time in labour and labour lasted 3hours 39mins. Jessica is just perfect, tiny but just perfect and I'm so gald she is here and safe.

Type of delivery: Vaginal (with pain relief)
Duration of labor: 6hours 32mins
Weight @ birth: 7lb
Length @ birth:
After going into fau for assesment on sunday morning they decided they where keeping me there as i had reduced fetal movement raised bp and protien in water and i was admited 2 the ward, the next thing i knew i was having another sweep and bouncing on a ball and doing lots of walking thought i might aswell try and get myself started, then a midwife came over and said i was going to be taken over 2 labour ward they were going to start me off,OMG.
At 11.05pm on sunday night they broke my waters and said i was 3-4cm dilated i was put on monitor for 30mins then sent for a walk contractions where cuming every 2-3mins so we headed back to labour ward from there on in it was drugs all they way, i had the gas and air and by 2am i was asking for a epidural but the doc had gone in2 thearte to do a section so i had to wait i asked if i cud have sum pethined as i was in so much pain and really thats the last thing i can remember until they came and done my epidural i dont remember them giving me pethine but i aturhoised it,lol, i was so on another planet where the sky was pink and the sun was black, finally i got my epidural but only a low dose as they dont block u copletly anymore they want u 2 b able to push so around 4.30am had the urge to push and all i kept saying was i need a poo i really need a poo the midwife checked me and confirmed i was fully dilated and the baby was cuming down and ready to make an appearnce, around 5.20am i started pushing and god did it hurt i screamed that loud i think the whole hosp heard me then at 5.5am baby alfie made his appearnce he was put straight on me and was perfect the first thing i said was hello little man ur perfect, i cried and cried and was so pleased that it was all over and alfie was safe. i kept hold of alfie whilst they delivered my afterbirth which i asked to c as i have never seen one b4 as my placentas have retianed last two times and god its looks like a piece of liver she showed me it and the cord attched to it and the side where alfie would have been lying and she turned it inside out and i can say i will never look at a piece of liver in the same way again. lol. darren also cut the cord which was lovely cause he never got the chance to with the girls.
all in all was my best labour by far my bp behaved the whole way throught the labour and the afterbirth came out no problems. so after 6hours 32mins of labour baby alfie william keywood was born @ 5.54am weighing dead on 7lb.
its really weird all y children have been born at 5 sumthink jess was born at 5.09pm courtney at 5.36pm and alfie at 5.54am.
