Daemyn-Malakai`s birthstory

I woke up at 4am on Monday with contractions 2-3 mins apart but not very painful so we didn`t really hurry out the door. I took a shower, then woke up my mom, packed my things and then left for the hospital. When we got there my contractions were still about 2-3 mins and I was 3cm dilated. My ex (the baby`s father) arrived soon after my mom and I got to the hospital. They started admitting me, taking all my vitals and having me fill out some paperwork (in between contractions of course.) Well by the time they got me into the delivery room and hooked my iv and everything else I was 5cm dilated. The dr. came in to administer my epidural which ended up hurting worse than my contractions but at least both were only temporary. After the meds kicked in everything was great. Everything progressed really well and the only pain I felt after that was some very minor cramping as the baby was crowning. It was kind of hard to push at first though because I couldn`t feel anything but after 2 or 3 sets of pushes I got the hang of it. I ended up pushing for only a little over an hour and then my beautiful son was born. I loved the fact that his father and my mom were there with me I couldn`t have done it without them. I am so happy to be a mommy.
