ethan-keith-bush`s birthstory
Well ehtan was born so fast. I had been in labor all day Sunday and didn`t know until that night! I was contracting all day. My husband and I went on a date that evening and I was contracting and I really kept thinking, is this it? I timed them for the duration of our date and all the rest of the day. I called my Doc and the Doc on call told me they were not close enough to come in to the hospital. They became stronger and more consistent and I called him again. He said get to the hospital. I got there and they were for sure labor pains, no b/h. I was only dilated 1 cm. (I had been 1cm for 4weeks) I was so disgusted b/c I knew I was in labor. They ultimately told me to walk the hospital or go home and rest. Yeah right, in pain? Rest? How? So, I went to my sister in law`s home and walked her stairs about 5 times, up and down...........until I was crying, the pain had intensified. Finally the contractions were 5 min apart consistently, then 3min then 2 min.........and I flat couldn`t take it any more. they took me back to the hospital and sure enough in about 2hrs I had dilated to 3cm. They admitted me and that was the beginning of the hardest labour I `d ever been through! I was in labor from about 1: 25a.m. to 6:05 a.m. when baby Ethan was born. I always said I would not be `that` woman that screams and yells and cries during labor. I am sorry to say ladies......that was me!!!!!!!!! LOL I did well up until about 20 minutes before he was born! I was calling on Jesus and all his friends! I was crying and asking God to help me to stay positive and make it through this experience and still have my right mind!!!!!! He did! I made it! I practically delivered him myself! By the time the Doc arrived his head and shoulders were already out. They were trying to make me hold off from pushing but the baby was ready to come so I had to push. Ladies if you feel the sensation to push.....PUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not wait on the Doc, nurse, or anyone else who is not ready! The babies are the ones pushing, let them initiate their own arrival. You just open the door and do not resist! I had to learn that through this experience. I had him natural and I really almost gave in to an epidural! Thanks to my hubby and family and God I made it wit h no meds!!!!!! I had my daughter natural 4yrs ago and this was not the same labor experience. I am a believer that every birth, and pregnancy is different. I am thankful for my baby boy and the experience. Best wishes ladies.
