Ryan`s birthstory

I didnt need to be induced thank god! I woke up at 5am with cramping and mild contractions. I had a CTG booked that morning any way at the hospital, so got the kids ready and took them to mums then went to the hospital for my CTG. While sitting there i had no more contractions so after half an hour went home. As soon as i got home the contractions started up again... they were all over the place, but starting to get stronger. Had my first real decent one at about 2am i think it was, so went back to the hospital. Got wheeled up to delivery ... it was funny, in the wheel chair in the lift there was about 10 people in there just watching me and waiting for something to happen. Thank god i didnt have a contraction there!!! Once up to delivery they checked me out, found out i was 4 cm dialated and took me to my room, they they started coming hard! I had a student nurse with me for a good hour n a half just following me around the room with her hand on my stomache. She left me alone when they started getting almost unbearable. My waters broke about 4.30 ish i think it was, heaps of fluid! Id forgotten how wierd that feels! Thank goodness my waters didnt breake at the shopping center or somewhere like that! At the end the pain was soooo bad, i swear i am NEVER EVER doing this again! I had no pain relief at all. As Ryan was moving down getting ready to be born his little feet were pushing right up into my ribs. I was on my back at this stage with my partner holding up one leg ad the midwife holding the other one... i didnt have the strength to do it myself, and i was getting so tired. I think i pushed about 6-7 times and my baby boy was born. Buggered if i know how i didnt need any stitches- he weighed a whopping 10 pounds 11 oz.
