Sophia Sex: girl Born: 12 September, 2007 Age: 1 years & 31 days Birthday in: 334 days Starsign: Virgo Development: See the 13 months page. Biggest achievement so far: Setting an eating schedule for herself. Today (10/24) is her 6 week birthday and she DEMANDED I play with her. So funny! We played on her play mat and listened to music. She smiled and kicked with glee! 12/05/07: Now Sophie is talking non-stop! She hums and coos constantly! It`s sooooooo cute!

Sophia`s birthstory

So I checked into the hospital on Monday, Sept. 10th at 7:00 PM. My midwife wanted to start an induction because I had GD and was starting to feel really lousy. We went thru one night (12 hours) of using cervidil and started the pitocin. After having contractions from 9 AM until 4 PM my midwife decided to stop the induction and start over! She gave me the option of trying again or having a c-section. I decided to try one more time...Once again, the second night, I was administered the cervidil and we started the pitocin again in the morning...after having contractions again from 9 AM until 4 PM, I was still only dialated to a 3 and baby still hadn`t engaged into my pelvis. At that point we made the decision to have a c-section. Within an hour I was being wheeled into the OR. 50 minutes later, here come the most precious baby I`ve ever seen! Her little head is perfectly round without any bumps or bruises. I spent 5 days in the hospital and am happy to report we are now home enjoying our bundle of joy!
