Had an appt for a scan to re check how the placenta was as scan on fri showed it was struggling. Scan showed it was still struggling so dr said i needed to be induced the next day. Midwife did an internal to check how they could start me off to find i was3cms dilated! She did a sweep and i went straight to 4-5cms! If nothing happened over night then i was to go into labour ward at 9am for my waters to be broken.

Despite walking curry and housework nothing happened over night and no amount of begging, my dh wouldnt donated his man juices!!

Arrived at the hospital and they broke my waters at 1020am and gave me 2hrs for my contractions to start. Nothing like a time limit to make you feel good!

1PM slight contractions started every 5-10mins 2pm they put me on a drip to bring them on more. They increased the drip every half hour then at 3pm they were very intense and i needed gas and air as tens machine was no longer enough.

406PM Baby Grace was born weighing 6lb14oz! we planned a home birth and the midwifes did as much as they could to keep to our birth plan and passed her to me as soon as she was born and we found out she was a girl for ourselves. Our eldest daughter stayed throughout and cut the cord. The labour was short but very painful this was all worth it as Grace is just so wonderful. stay open minded and good luck to you if you're still waiting for your little bundles of joy to arrive!!
