We had been walking alot for about 3 days before I gave birth to see if we could get my labor to start, I had already dilated to 3cm with no cervix and on Monday we went to Singletary Lake State Park to walk out there we walked out on the docks and then we went to walk along the trail we made it maybe an 1/8 of a mile on the trail and I started to feel alot of pressure but no real contractions. After we got in the car to head toward home because I didn`t think that I could walk anymore my contractions became more regular. So we headed to the hospital and had to get checked in after that they took me to Labor and Delivery and they checked me there I was 4-4 1/2 Cm then so they called the doctoe and he broke my water ten labor really started!!! I asked for an epidural because I knew this was going to be a big baby and I didn`t want to suffer through my labor. I was fully dilated by around 10:30pm and started pushing I pushed until about 12:00am then my doc and I talked about the fact that his head was just not coming down and I was pushing as hard and I possibly could. So I went in for a C-section. There were a few complications that I went through that I will post later but I have a healthy happy beautiful baby boy and we just got home today 5-29-08
Okay the baby is sleeping and I thought that I would finish posting about my birth experience. When they took me back for the c-section I was pretty nervous but I knew that my husband would be there and the epidural doctor, b/c I spell the formal name (LOL) was going to be there and he knew my family from previous times when they were in the hospital, the joys of living in a small town! So anyway Larry andmy hubby Kenny were there with me and things seemed to be going pretty smoothly but then I heard a change in the doctors tone of voice, I knew there was something wrong going on and I was trying not to freak out, I was praying that it wasn't the baby. Then I felt him come out and heard them suctioning him....and then I heard his cry and I was balling myself. Then they kicked out my hubby and took the baby out too, not before I saw him though. Then they told me that there was some things that they were working on and put me out for a bit. I was what they called consiously sedated. Turns out when I had the ectopic pregnancy last year when my body was healing there was a blood vessel that developed on my uterus so when they cut into me they clipped the vessel and when everyone got so tense it was because they were trying to get the baby and stop the bleeding. It took about 2 hours for then to finish everything but I am doing very well and can still have more babies in the future, and my little boy is absolutley perfect! So thats the story, in 18 years of my doc's career he said that he has never seen a case like mine, so I have done this to him twice now! Thank God I like him and he is such a good doc he has saved my life twice!
