Amani`s birthstory

Well, i told everyone over and over again about a restaurant I found that swears there eggplant parmeasan dish pushes women who are close to or due to go into labor with in 48 hours of eating the dish. Well, i was determined to eat there, `Scalini`s Italian Restaurant` so i went on saturday May 9th, for s pre-mothers day dinner and an attempt to get my labor started. I finished my meal which by the way was very good at 11:21 pm , after the meal the waitress had me sign there baby book, and if i did go into labor and delivered my baby within 48 hours i recieved a $25.00 gift certificate a baby t-shirt that says Scalinis and a pic of my baby added to there baby wall.

I was so excited. On mothers day may 10th nothing really happened so i started getting disappointed and me my husband, daughter ans sister in law all went to the mall to just walk around, probably 2hours into being there my water broke inside of the apple computer store. OH MY GOD! It was not a big gush plus i had a pad on because i was having a little bit of my mucus plus starting to come out... so what did come out went into the pad not my clothes or the floor thank god... i quickly got my husband told him i thought my water broke and i headed to the bath room while checking my self fluid started to come out and when i strained to stop it like how you can stop your unrine flow it did not stop so i new it broke!!!! YEAH!!!! i was excited!!!! so i told my husband that indeed it broke and he thought i was joking for a min but quickly he belived me, now we are in the car and we drive home and i change clothes get my stuff and call the hospital, they told me to come on in now!! YEAH... I arrived in L&D at 8:10 pm on mothers day 21 hours after eating the famous eggplant parmeean!!!! I previously had a c-section 11 years ago and really wanted to try to have her vaginally... i see a group of docs which consist of 2 MD male docs and 2 female midwifes.. the docs suck and dont care about my desire for a vbac... the midwifes are so patient and loving wanting me to try for the vbac i oh so wanted... well when i got there guess whos on one of my asshole male Dr`s he quickly tells me how yes indeed my water really is broken so i will be admitted but he strongly suggests i just do a c-section etc etc... bullshit he just doesnt want to spend any time on me he just wants to schedule me in a book and be done with me!!!! I new at 7am my loving Midwife would be on so i did nt want to deliever until she came in becuase i new the whole treatment of my labor would be so much better.... well when the ,asshole doc suggested this in a very cold manner !!! i at first felt like i maybe should just give up and do what the doc wants but that thought lasted a quick sec, and i said no i want to try for my VBAC and only in emergency do i accept gettting a
c-section!! and i said i dont want an epidural!! he kinda laughed at me like im asking for to much~!!! but i did not care.... so he walked out and they started pitocin on me.... i think they were to aggressive with it becuase they had my contractions like less than 1 min apart!!!! so they slowed it down i was doing good once they slowed it down, then i got checked i was only 1 cm!!!! after 4 hours around midnight on may 11 i only went up to 1.5 cm just plan sad, if you ask me,,, then 4 hours later around 4 am i was 2 cm !!! i started to think that maybe the asshole doc was right and my body just cant handle dilating and i would end up with a c-section.... well exactly at 7 am i heard this weird pop sound in my belly i thought the baby kicked this internal monitor the nurse had placed so i did not think anything of it well you guys i guess what happended was my water completely busted and when this happened within 2 mins my pain level went from a 5-6 to 100 and beyond!! i swear it was the most horrible pain i have ever felt ever i was shaking, and crying and holding on to the bed for dear life!! my husband did not know what to do i did not understand why my pain went into this extreme state all of a sudden!!! well the shift was changing and the next nurse coming on Kate asked me if i wanted an epidural this was like the 10th time being asked this that night but i gave in and said yes please god give me one this pain truly was no damn joke!!!! well i got the epidural and felt 100 times better !!!! guess what the mean old male doc was leaving while the lovely midwife came on hurray thank god... so now im disappointed in my self for getting the epidural and i felt for sure being that im not really dilating and because i have a epidural i was doomed to get another c-section!!! well Mrs Pye the midwife came in checked me i was the same yall!!! 2 cm all that damn pain and nothing had changed since 4 am and now it was 8am.... well she said she would check me at 11 am she did and guess what!!!! i was 7 cm at 11am , they said i was probably so tense when my pain was so bad and my bladder was constantly full that they could also hender your dialation... so the epidural relaxed me so muh and the foley they put in kept my bladder empty i progressed so much it was a true blessing when she told me i was 7,
im my first pregnancy i never progressed past 5 and that was after 3 days of labor.... so to go from 2-7 in 3 hours was by the grace of god!!!!! everyone was so proud of me and i finally thought oh my god i can be actually have this baby vaginally!! so around 12:30pm she checked me again and only went from 7-8 cm which was good but i thought i would be complete!!!! she had me lie to my left then right for an hour well guess what i was so pain free from the epidural but i had some new pain down in my vaginal i had lots of heavy pressure the nurse tells me tjhis is a good thing it means the babys head is coming down lower into my pelvis well shit this damn pain/pressure started to be intense and i was just going crazy cuz by this time i did not want to feel any more pain at all well the nurse comes in around 2:10 pm to tell me she was going to put a monitor on the babys head... so of course while trying to place this monitor she also is feeling for how dilated i am!!! and she said o my god i beleive that you are 10 cm and complete!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! she had the sweet midvife confirm and yes i was ready to push!!!! the midwife wanted me to sit in a sitting position for 30 mins to get the babys head to dtop a little lower then we would push... wow by the grace of god i went from 2cm at 8am to complete at 2pm.... i was blessed and so happy to have been able to do what all the docs thought would end up in a c-section delivery!!!! around 2:55 pm i started to push and at 3:14 pm my beautiful daughter was born into this world!!!!

this was a true blessing!!!! my first child was 9 days late, this baby was 9 days early
my first was 5lbs13 oz and my second 5lb 15 oz
my first child i had no clue how to be successful at breastfeeding, with my second she is a pro at breastfeeding

I know my story is long but it was my story and im very proud of it!!!!! thanks for reading

Amir-Cameron-Pierson`s birthstory

Well my due date was not until June 25th 2010. On May 2nd my water broke at home when I was 32 weeks. I was admitted to the hospital for premature rupture of membranes and placed on strict bedrest. The doctors told me they wanted to try and keep the baby in until i reach 34 weeks. So i spent around 2 weeks in the hospital on bedrest!!

Well, thursday May 13th I started having regular contractions that were about 3 mins apart and I started having bloodyshow, so around 11 pm the doctor moved me from Antepartum which is the dept for pregnant women with complications to labor and delivery. Well when I got to L&D guess what they put me in room 10!!! well guess what when I had Amani last year that was the room I had her room 10.. crazy huh!!. I was in mild pain at first, but around 4-5 am i woke up in pain, i had no pitocin so i did not think i would have such pain but I did... they came and checked me and I was 4 cms dilated. So i called my hubby and told him to come now. I got an epidural and around 6:30 am the midwife checked me again and I was 9 cm!! By the time i was 9 my hubby was there and around 7:15 am or so i started pushing and he was born at 7:46 am...

Amir was 4lbs 14oz 18 1/2 inches long and as perfect as ca be. He is very handsome. he was born at exactly 34 weeks! he is in the intermediate nursery because he was born 6 weeks early. He has an IV so he can get antibotics for 48 hours and he also recieves IV fluids. But overall he is breathing on his own and should come home by friday..
