Evan-Bradley`s birthstory

I was sent in at 7pm on February 28th up to L&D to be induced. I didn`t actually receive the cervidil until about 9:30pm. I started having contractions but they were very irregular and not really strong enough to do much. I kept at a fingertip dilated and thick and firm for ages. My water broke on it`s own at 5:45am and my contractions got stronger but they STILL didn`t do anything to my cervix. They decided to give me an epidural, saying that it would relax me and that would perhaps help my cervix dilate. It helped out some, but very slowly. They kept holding off the Pitocin, wanting to see if my contractions would get stronger and do the job on their own.

Finally around 4pm, I was checked and was 3-4 centimeters dilated and was starting to thin out. At around, 4:30ish, they finally put the Pitocin drip on to give me a boost and that`s all it took. I went to 10 centimeters in nothing flat and a handfull of pushes later, my beautiful baby boy entered the world crying.

Evan Bradley was born at 4:50pm, 8 pounds 3 ounces and 18 inches long. He has a headfull of black hair and blue eys ^^ He was absolutely perfect ^^

The next morning, I went and had my tubes tied and Im more sore from that than I am the delivery lol I wish I was told previously how tender I would be after it instead of finding out the hard way lol

I`m so glad to be home with my little one and my other boys. Though it is a bit worrysome since my youngest is sick with the flu, it seems ; ; So I`m trying to keep him away from the baby and be a little hands off with him, myself, in order to try to keep from getting it :( I really hope that it`s only a 24 hour bug and he`ll be better soon and that Evan doesn`t get sick as well.
