Dariuan`s birthstory

I had my membranes swept on thursday... not sure if that had anything to do with me going into labor but on Friday night I started having pains... not contractions just some odd pain that ended up turning into mild contraction along with some blood. I decided to go into labor and delivery just to see what was going on. I was in fact having mild contractions... BUT the nurse would not admit me! I was tooo mad...... she made me walk for two whole hours before she would even check my cervix... not to mention that she was new to the hospital and kept saying how she was new but she knows how to take care of me (actually she had NO clue what she was doing) it took her at LEAST five minutes to check me every time!!!
Any whoo my doctor ended up calling and telling her to admit me because my contractions were getting stronger and closer together. She started my iv which took her 3 tries... and put on some pitocin. The pitocin was such a low dose that it did NOTHING at all thrioughout her whole 11 hour shift I made no progress.. as soon as I got a new nurse she gave me more pitocin which made my contractions soooo bad. My waters broke on their own within 1hr and I asked for the epdurial... while waiting for the doc I got checked and was 4cm... 15 mins later my contraction were SO bad she checked me again and I was 6... by the time they began my epi was 8... by the time he was done the babies head was OUT! They didnt even get the chance to put the medicine in...So I felt the urge to push and I did. One push and he was out... my doc wasnt even in the room... he came running in and the baby was already on the bed! So I did the WHOLE thing with no drugs... Im proud of myself! It was hard but I did it and now he`s here and hes such a little peanut. I couldnt see him for a while because they took him away to check his vitals because he was sooo small too be full term. Turned out everything is fine. Everything ended up happening so fast... I`m glad he didnt come while I had the nurse who had no idea what she was doing.... everything happens for a reason, and I dont think she would have been able to handle such a quick birth... I didnt tear so no stiches.. I am upset that I have some back pain from the useless epi!
