Camerith-Daniel`s birthstory

It was an early morning on july 4th around 4 am .. I woke up feeling crampy every 20 minutes.. I was thinking it might just be some braxton hicks or just some cramps.. then they wouldn't stop and started to get tighter and felt stronger.. so I thought "this could be it.. i need to time them" so I got up at 5 am and stared at the digital clock sitting on my nightstand.. i counted.. i felt contractions every 10 minutes for about 40-50 seconds.. then every 8 minutes.. then 6 minutes.. 5 minutes.. It hurt a lil bit more than period cramps but bearable.. and that's when i thought that "this is it.. m getting my hopes up.." I got up off bed and went into the living room to lay down on the couch and started timing my contractions again by the living room white hanging clock at 6 am.. i was contracting about every 3-4 minutes.. for 70-80 seconds long.. they were getting more and more painful each time.. enough to squeeze myself and roll around.. then i got up and walked walked and walked to make sure they're not false contractions, they were still regular and painful so this time i was very very sure..
I called my mum at 7am and she said this is it!
I walked and sit until 8 am, bong sakda got up and asked me if i was okay, i told him i was having contractions and we should get ready for the hospital, he got excited and changed clothes.. I got in the shower at 8:30 and found mucus plug sticking out my v-jj! i pulled them off but they were just endless, so i let them hang out that way (i had a thought that this can prove the doc my cervix is dilating more)
I was thinking my cervix might be about 3-4 cm now..
So I called the ER and told them "i might be in labor" they told me to come in right away..
We left the house at 8:50 am and headed to the hospital. We got there at 9am..
The recept admitted me and 15 minutes later i was in the monitoring room.. they hooked me up to the monitors at 9: 30 am, my nurse was Erin, she was a very nice lady, she said my contractions were about 3-4 minutes apart.
She checked my cervix at 10 am and it was 5 cm dilated, she said they "might" keep me, so I turned at B,sakda and we exchanged a happy glance.
Doctor Carter came in at 11 am to check me, I was 6 cm, he said they're moving me to the labor room.
At 12 pm i progressed to 7cm..
The contractions were still about the same, I really thought they were going to be more painful but they didn't.. Doc Carter said he'd break my water to speed up the dilation.. but the contractions would be 100 times worse so he asked if I would consider having an epidural.. after hearing that I said I would.. it looked like everybody wanted me to get one.. the doc even made a joke that I was scary cuz normally ladies would scream their head off when they're about 7cm but I was still smiling and laughing..
At 3pm they did the epidural and while checking my cervix, my water broke on his own, luckily just right after the epi! I was 8cm..
The epi started his magic and I didnt feel a thing, my right leg was very numb but my left leg was still the same..
I fell asleep from 4:15 to 4:35 haha i cant believe i did.. then Erin checked me again and I was 9cm.. almost there! the cervix was almost effaced but the lips thing were in the way and i couldnt push just yet..
6:10 fully effaced and dilated! time to push!
That's when I felt contractions on my left, the epi wasnt working well and I felt every contractions, which was good in a way, the feeling to push felt like a bowel movement along with really bad cramps..
I pushed for 2 good hours, i was very very exhausted, I wanted to cry and sleep in the same time, i was tired to hear the "push push push harder harder harder!!" oh please shut up and let me sleep! I really wanted it to be over, i even thought i would get a c-section to get this over with!
At 8: 10 bong sakda took a picture, yes a picture of my vjj haha and showed me how much i've progressed, what i saw was the back of my baby boy's head!
Doc Carter came in at 8:30 and said I've been doing great so far, he would hate to do a c-section, so he said he'd do an episiotomy (great, that's just what i been trying to avoid!) but i was so tired i just nodded and said go ahead, i just want to get this over with!
So I did a really big push with the help of a vacuum, then i heard "push push! u're almost there! oh god he's coming out! u're doing great! one last big push!" that's when I gathered all of my energy and made the biggest push (along with the biggest scream ever) and felt my vjj tear (ok so he didnt do the episiotomy) and I felt my baby's shoulder and body getting out, and the baby's cry!! I felt the most relieve in the world, and was getting ready to fall asleep, they let me take a quick glance at my baby, he was so beautiful, b.sakda then smiled at me with excitement and kissed me, it just felt wonderful..
It was 8:41 when he got out..
It took about 30mn to get the placenta out, and since I tore, the doc had to stitch it back together and that took about 30 more minutes.. I thought i could go to sleep but my mind was filled with the thought of seeing my baby and I just couldn't take my eyes off him, the nurse was giving him a bath and everything, and i followed her every move.. b.sakda was taking pictures and he got to cut the cord..
The nurse then said he was 20.5 inches long and 7.5 lbs, a tall baby! his apgar score was a perfect 9! I couldnt be more proud..
I still can't believe that I gave birth to this one beautiful baby!! i love him to death!!
