ISABELLA-HOPE`s birthstory

On sunday l stayed in bed nearly all day having contractions come and go during one strong one felt some fluid come out went to the bathroom and sure enough my panty liner was soaked with my show which l had been losing for a few days earlier plus some bright nearly fluoro yellow watery not sure how to explain but this is what it looked like l called the hospital as this was new to me never had seen this before with any of my other pregnancies the midwives asked me to come in for a check the midwife that checked me was quiet sure it was my waters that must have popped put baby on a cgt moniter see if baby was in any kind of distress and said l needed to come back in 24hrs to check again unless l went into labor on my own they would let me stay like this for 48hrs or else would have to be induced ...... next morning at 3:30am woke up with really strong pains and these were coming at pretty much every 4 min so called hospital up and told them l was coming in l was soo nervous as l knew what was going to happen next anyway at the hospital Hubby and l were taken to a birthing room and the midwife explained to me that she was a little suspicios as to the colour of my waters she thought that baby had passed mechonium first poo inside so l was put on monitors so they could see baby how she was doing her heart rate kept dropping and no one knew why they thought maybe her cord was squished they couldn`t feel it above her head so they just monitored her l was 6cm dilated when got to hospital within a couple of hours l went to 8cm when bubs was coming down the canal her heart rate dropped to 59 and we got very scared before l knew it there was 7 midwives in the room and l was given a shot of sintocin my cervix was pushed back and l was told to push and get the baby out l gave it my all and pushed she came out covered in thick mechonium they had to suction everything out l have never been so scared in my life until she let out a cry !! she had to have some blood taken as a precaution for infection once at birth and then 12 hrs later everything came back fine we where in hospital for 48hrs
