when I went 2 dr last friday I was dilated to 4cm 80% effaced then monday nite @ midnite we went 2 hospital they got me set up and put n the iv thingy (piece of advice start 2 drink tons of water startn mon or tues til u go, trust me u will wish u had when u get the iv & they draw blood, plus 4 when they start pitocin, it will help it flow better) but not actual iv yet & drew blood outta other arm then gave me ice chips cause that's all I cld have I took a phenegran 2 sleep but of course I was so anxious I cldnt sleep lol but anyway at abt 2 they finally left me alone, well I contracted quite a bit over the next few hrs so that made it hard 2 sleep 2, so anyway @ 6 or 630 they came n checked me, I had dilated 2 5cm on my own, so they hooked up Iv and antibiotics 4 strep b, then at abt 7 they started the pitocin, dr white showed up @ abt 745 checked me I was almost 6cm & he broke my water, & they turned up pitocin, I started have sum intense contractions abt 30min later so I asked 4 epi, they came n had me dangle feet off side of bed, tyler put his hands on my shoulders kinda pushing against me & they put this jelly stuff then numbing stuff then put n epi, didn't feel anything but pressure, bout 5 to 10min later my legs got warm and tingly, couldn't feel contraction pain just tightening which was good! About 1hr later they checked me & I was an 8! I was shocked =) then they turned up pitocin a lil more & 45 min later felt pressure like I needed 2 poo so tyler or mom went & got nurse, checked me I was 100% thinned out 9cm so my nurse had me do a practice push 2 c what I had n me, so tyler & mom held my legs & I practiced pushed & he came all the way down, & she said push one more time so I did & they cld c he had hair we got excited! so she said she wld go ahead page dr white cause he'd walked across parkin lot 2 c patients, k she then said if I feel pressure again 2 call nurse station and she'd come right back otherwise b back n 30min well 15 - 20 min went by & felt pressure again so I told tyler to plz go get nurse she came n abt 15min later and a cpl othr people rolled in sum stuff and got my room ready, then few min later they broke down my bed put up stirrups more people came n and they told me 2 go ahead & starting pushing thru contractions, so by the time dr white came n he was almost coming out! Including ty and mom there were 9ppl n there lol 3 nurses, mom, ty, dr white, 2 med students,& nursery nurse I pushed thru contractions 20min later he was born @ 1130am so was n actual labor 4 hrs and 20min of actual pushing, I didn't feel any pain at all not even when he came out just pressure which helped push him out! I did tear a tiny bit which I didn't feel sooo, tyler cut the cord 2!
