Lauren`s birthstory

I am planning on moving back to Texas, so I went there to attend a job fair. As I was standing in line, I felt a little gush of water. I didn`t think much of it and continued with the job fair. Then I went to lunch and I had another gush of water. I had a couple of interviews and had a couple more gushes of water. My husband and I decided to go to the hospital just to be on the safe side. The nurse checked to see if she could see anything. She said oh yeah, I need to let them know that you are going to be admitted. I freaked out!! My baby was going to be born in Texas! That was o.k. though, because all my family was there. I was admitted to the hospital at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. I ended up in labor for 30 hours. My body was not ready at all for delivery. They had to give me Cervidal. Then they began pitocin at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday. Very slow dilation. I began pushing at 7:30 p.m. Sunday night. I pushed for over an hour. They even tried the vacuum, but my little girl didn`t want to come out. Her heart rate went up to 200, so the doctor said let`s do a c-section. It felt like it took forever to get me to the OR. Finally they got me back there and I had a beautiful baby girl at 9:10 p.m. It was a very rough labor, but I would do it again!
