It all started Monday night around midnight. I kept throwing up non-stop. I was having TERRIBLE contractions. I was in bed and the contractions got so bad I threw up all over myself. I couldn`t control it. I called the Dr. on call and she said not to come in because the contractions were still far apart. I told her I was throwing up and I just didn`t feel right. She wasn`t so nice and kept saying it`s pointless to come in. I was in bed til 2ish and couldn`t take it anymore. I woke Dan up and said let`s just go. In the car I threw up again. Finally got to the hospital....took me to maternity floor and took me right into a room. Hooked me up to everything and gave me fluids right away. My mom came right away half asleep:) I was in THE WORST pain from the contractions. The monitor kept showing them and I kept hearing the noise of the contraction on the monitor...wasn`t very fun. My mom and Dan were trying to make me feel better. Trying to breathe but I just couldn`t do it. My Dr. got there around 7am, gave me pitocin, broke my water and ordered the epidural. Pitocin put me in more pain. Contractions were coming on very strong making me throw up even more. Finally the anesthisiologist came with the epidural. Holy shit it hurt!!! He had to stab me like 10 times for some reason. I had to sit indian style while having contractions...no fun. Few minutes later I was in heaven. Contractions were going like crazy and I didn`t feel a thing. My body was numb and I was lovin it! Contractions were finally a minute apart. I was finally 9 cm`s dialated. I had the best nurse in the world. She was sooo strict but great. I had to push 3 times. I pushed and nothing. Didn`t hurt either because I was so numb. Dr Kramer came in to see if I was 10 cm`s yet but nope, still at 9cm. Around 3:00 I was in excrutiating pain. I had no idea what was going on. My back felt like it was on fire. I was SCREAMING. It was first on the bottom, came up to the top, came around to my stomach. The anesthisiologist came back to give me more meds after flipping out. He pumped some meds in and nothing. They said oh it must just be pressure from the baby. I could tell that was no pressure. Something was just not right after feeling so great to all the sudden being in pain again. After being at 9cm`s for 3 hours Dr. Kramer said I may have a c-section. I said I really didn`t care just take this pain away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept screaming please just take me back now!!!!!!!!!!! They had to prep for it and kept saying 10 more mins, 20 more mins..I couldn`t take it anymore! FINALLY, they wheeled me away to the OR. I couldn`t open my eyes, I was sooooo out if it throwing up, crying, and screaming. The nurse yelled at me and told me to open my eyes. It was so hard to open my eyes. She asked why I was there, what my name was and so on. Then the anesthisiologist took the epi out and put a spinal in. Holy shit that felt good. Even better than the epi. I was numb once again. The anesthisiologist said he was so sorry but the epi was half out and this is why I was in SOO much pain!! I couldn`t believe it. I asked him if it was out and he said that doesn`t happen. Oh boy was I mad!!!!! I KNEW something was wrong! So he kept giving me meds and just dripped on the bed. They cut me open, I felt jabbing and pulling but nothing hurt. All of the sudden we saw Zachary over the curtain!! We were freaking out. Dan went to cut the cord and all. I was SO out of it from all of the drugs. I heard ohmigod, his feet are huge!!! We were laughing so hard. He came over to us and we were so happy. Welcome Zachary!! They stapled me up, wheeled me back and then the family was there waiting for us. Everyone was flipping out over how much he looked like Dan! People say he has my eyes and skin color...Thank god there is something he has of mine:)
