Jannat-Jamil`s birthstory

I had a doctors appt. on Tuesday for my 38 week check up. I havent been feeling Jannat move alot on monday either and she usually starts to move when i eat or drink but she wasnt moving much besides one or two kicks in two hours..i thought she was just being lazy and sleeping today. at my appt i told the doc of not much fetal movement. at my last appt i had high BP and swelling and this week they found traces of protein aswell. i was put on the monitor everything wasnt looking so good since her heartbeat was either too high or too low. but when it was stable it was on the higher side. the docs decided to induce me since i was already full term and had gestational diabetes, and now the BP problem...they inserted cervadil at 4 pm and i was still closed and long.......and baby`s heartbeat was up in the 160-170 range and then it would go to 150`s. i started to have mild contractions at around midnite and after that i couldnt fall asleep since i was feeling them ever 4-5 minutes apart. at around 4 am the doc took the cervadil out and i was 50 % efaced . at around 5 they started the pitocin, with the pitocin the baby`s HB kept dropping with every contraction i had so they decided to stop pitocin and wait and see what happens. at around 8 the doc came in and said they were going to insert this other thing, a balloon to help dialate me and at that time i was 1 cm and 100% efaced but i was still long... they tried to take the mucus plug out first but couldnt reach all the way back to take it all out.. so they decided to just wait and see what they can do and wat happens. The nurses kept on changing my sides to stable Jannat`s HB but it was still in the high 160-170 range and it would drop once in awhile. the doctor came in told me they were going to have me do a c-section cuz the fluids were also and they didnt want to have me rush to the emergency c-section. My mom and DH thought it was the right thing to do and have both of us safe and not risk anything if at end of all the labor i was going to have to get a c-section it was better to do it now and the labor can can take a long time or no time at all. I was prepped up to be taken to the OR. I got my epidural at 10;40. the doc came in at 10;50 and at 11 my little girl was born, screaming at tops of her lungs..Also we found out afterwards that she had meconium but it wasnt too bad ans she is all good now. . My DH was with me in the OR and when we heard the baby cry. i saw tears in his eyes and said to me that after one year Jannat we r going to plan for our second baby. He was happy he didnt have to see me go through all the pain of labor and end up with a c-section... Jannat Jamil was born at 11 am weighting 5 lbs and 13 oz. and 19 in...she is just precious and all that pain from the CS goes away by just looking at her one smile....=)
