Zarah-Marie`s birthstory

Ok here goes ....I was laying on the sofa ( 9.30pm) I wasn’t feeling the best .

I was having poo pains (so I thought) then I thought that I had peed on myself

Not much but just a few little drops, I rang the hospital and said I’m not sure but I think

my waters have broken or I just peed a little, the nurse said come in and the worse that

can happen is we send you back home, I got there at 10.20 pm , I was seen by the nurse ,

blood pressure ,temperature and she wanted to look at my pad and get it examined.

I was hooked up to a fetal heart monitor machine and watching myself have real light

contractions. The Doctor came in and asked me a few questions and said to me judging by the look

Of your waters the baby has pooed and I felt like crying cos I know that definitely was not a good

sign.(11:00pm) I was scared and by this point my waters gusheddddddddddddddddd right out of me two big gushes I thought to myself ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww . I started to have real bad contractions, sucking on that gas like there was no tomorrow and telling everyone in the delivery room why wont the contractions give me a break , one after the other.I looked over at my son to see if he was ok lol and not getting scared seeing his mumma in so much pain , but he was doing ok lol . I was swearing F this and S that , my mother told me to stop swearing , but the doctors said I could say anything as long as

I got Zarah out because her heart rate had dropped . I was told to push and I said NO I am not

pushing because I am not 10 cm dilated the midwives and the doc said yes you are just push

when we tell you to. I said nooooooooooooo I want an epidural and they said toooooo late

then I asked for a c section , they said theres nothing we can do you have to push anyways 4 pushes

and Zarah was out( 12.40 am) My partner Dave cut Zarahs cord. Dave , my mum and my son were there for the birth but unfortunately my daughter was at her dads place. Thank god it was a quick

labor . After 10 years from my last birth it all came back to me pretty quick , Zarah is beautiful and she is making me proud each day , I am stoked .
