Troy-`s birthstory

We are super happy to have our new little bundle of joy with us. Our c-secttion was planned, as it was too dangerous for me to go into natural labour. I went in the day before to have an amnio to make sure that the baby`s lungs were fully developed. That was no fun. Of course the baby chose that moment to move and jump around so they had it in a lot longer than normal, which was not fun. We came in the next morning to be told that if we wanted to go ahead with it, we would need to re-do the amnio, as the one from the day before had been lost. I was horrified!!! Several hours later after the Doctors had turned the hospital upside down and conducted a `line up` it had been found, put in the wrong spot. I was just happy that it had been found before they re-did it.
Well everything else went great. The Doctors were expecting the surgery to go a lot longer and be a lot more complicated, but it went so much better than even they could have hoped for. My new little boy finally had a name. We decided on Troy, and announced it once he was born. The surgery was a bit scary to say the least. I am so glad I was awake for it though. The Doctors held him up over the curtain and he had blood all over him, and my first thought was how skinny he looked. He was screaming really loudly. No question his lungs were good!! When they brought him to me, he was already searching for something to eat. He is the most wonderful little person I have ever seen. I can`t believe I grew him in my belly.
