This is our little man, Evan, born at 4 pounds, two ounces back in June of 2005 at 31 weeks and 6 days. He's developed into quite the young man, talking up a storm and keeping pace with all those kids who were born at term. We're very proud of him and love showing him off to our friends. Best of all he's very loving and always has time to give you a hug. Since getting pregnant again, he's been a big help by picking things up off the floor for me. I can only hope that the girls are as great as he is.

Taylor-Ann-Leslie-`s birthstory
I had had enough of being pregnant, so on Wednesdya March 5 we were scheduled to be induced. Turns out, when we got to the hospital I was already dialated 3 cm, so they broke my water and let me do my thing. But things didn`t progress and I was stuck at 4 cm in full labour for more than 9 hours. On top of that, I had had an epidural that didn`t work. My legs were frozen but that was it. They gave me another epidural, which also didn`t take and after that told me that there was a good chance I was going to have a c-section. I wasn`t even going to consider a c-section so I forced them to just go ahead and give me the oxytocin and move things along despite my lack of pain relief. That did the trick. An hour later I was 8 cm, and an hour after that Taylor was born. Three pushes and she was born nearly without a doctor who did`t believe that things would happen that fast after the long day we`d had. Now the next part is not for the faint of heart....if you gross out easily, stop reading now!
As soon as Taylor was born they gave me about two minutes to get my thoughts together before they went in manually, with an ultrasound as a guide, to position Avery. The doctor used his hands to put her at the top of the birth canal and then let me do the rest. Once she was in position, I did the rest, pushing her out in just abouit 15 minutes. The best and worst pain of my life. Anyone who`s ever had a child knows exactly what I`m talking about. A total rush that makes you feel alive, like you were put on the earth to do that very thing. Very true I suppose....
Both girls were born healthy, with all their digits, and a ton of hair that at first glance looks red, but I think it`s going to be dark.
Since we`ve been home, we`ve been bonding as a family. Some of it has been great, some of it not so much. Sleep seems to be a thing of the past. Mind you, as any woman who`s ever gone to term with twins will tell you, the last few months of pregnancy aren`t exactly restful either. I can`t remember the last time I got a full night`s sleep.
